6. Guerrilla blue plaques are back
If you enjoyed our art project earlier this year, celebrating the history of five legendary London nightclubs with their very own Kentishtowner blue plaques, you’ll enjoy the follow up.
A couple of months ago, Cable was a thriving nightclub located in the arches under London Bridge Station. But then the forces of redevelopment came into play and yet another of London’s increasingly scarce larger club spaces was unceremoniously shut down.
With no reprieve in sight from landlords Network Rail, we knew it was high time to get a blue plaque up. Read the full story – including a close shave with site security – on our south London sister site Below the River now.

Kentish delight wine bar has re-arranged it’s letters… had never seen that place open before.
Please check the facts Kentishtowner. The Kentish Town Delight Tunnel Bar DOES NOT have a 2am alcohol licence. Its licence is 11.30 am Mon-Thu and midnight Fri and Sat. If they are selling alcohol until 2am then it is breaking the terms of its licence. The Police and Camden Enforcement have been notified.

Sorry, meant 11.30pm!

We did indeed check the facts – by going in and asking them.
Public details of the Kentish Town Delight Bar licence can be found here:

As you will see, from helpful Rich above, the licensing hours are 11.30pm during the week and midnight Friday and Saturday. You were lied to Kentishtowner. Good idea to check the facts properly on the Camden website before sowing seeds of dissension and jealously around Kentish Town. One of our members went into the Tunnel Bar and asked about their licensing hours and they looked sheepish and admitted their licence is only until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
