5. Head to Angel this weekend for comedian Rob Newman at Little Angel Theatre
Want to entertain the ankle-biters over the long weekend? And never been to the puppet theatre in Angel? Why not kill two birds and catch its big summer show, called We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
Based on Michael Rosen’s “thrilling and funny adventure”, it is – as befits the venue – a brand new puppetry production with music by singer-songwriter Barb Jungr.
Prefer something for the adults? Check out comedian Rob Newman’s solo show (a rip-roaring 90 minutes) until May 31. Monday 20 May to Friday 31 May, 8pm (Mon-Sat; Wed-Fri) £10. Further info on all these shows here.

Everyone should go to the Friday I’m in Love Amy Ball. I used to be the MC for FiiL for the first few gigs. The band are really brilliant and I can guarantee you’ll have a LOT of fun.
There is a band on at the bandstand on Hampstead Heath on Sunday and Monday at 3pm:
