These shots of the posh new signage by the fruit ‘n’ veg stall at the tube were taken by photographer Sally Lyall Grant, who also snapped the new Mr P mural. She has a new exhibition on London markets at the New Space Gallery on Queen’s Crescent, opening next Wed 29 May.

In her images Sally captures “moments in time, exchanges between sellers and buyers, negotiations and gossip all taking place in market settings”.

Hard at work.
Hard at work.
A self-taught photographer with a keen and discerning eye living in Kentish Town, this is Sally’s first exhibition in London.

The New Space Gallery – if you don’t already know it – is based right there on Queen’s Crescent, making Sally’s exhibition, as she says, “a set of work fully in tune with its context”. 76 Queen’s Crescent. Open evening is Wed 29 May 6-8pm. Runs till June 28.
