4. A Brand New Show At DRAF Gallery
Camden’s impressive DRAF Gallery is transformed this weekend, becoming a laboratory of measurement for the start of French artist Benoît Maire’s first solo show in London. Weapon can be read as a “cohesive assemblage of autonomous works, in which art becomes a sort of aesthetic terrorism,” he says. “The exhibition revolves around two main motifs: vision and measuring devices as weapons.”
Containing a large group of new works including photographs, sculptures and videos created especially for London, Weapon asks whether we are losing or destroying our existential relationship to the world through our constant calculations of it.
So, there you go, something to think about over your artisan coffee. The show kicks off on Saturday 15th March, and runs through to 11th May. Free.
DRAF is open Thurs-Sat 12-6pm, or Tue-Wed by appointment. Symes Mews, NW1
