3. Murder on South End Green!
Kind of. It’s straight back to leafy NW3 for The Thrill of Love, a play about the life of Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be executed in the UK for shooting of her lover outside South End Green’s Magdala pub.
It promises to be a “new look” at the story, concentrating on the person behind the headlines and the events that drove her to murder, infused with the music of Billie Holiday.
It’s already bagged a couple of successful regional runs but hits the Smoke on 27 March (previews), running until 04 May.
Tickets from £15, St James Theatre, Box Office: 0844 264 2140
