Pinboard: a plan for the Pizza Express building?

Also this week: a new French-Vietnamese cafe on Fortess Road, the Amy Winehouse exhibition starts in Camden, support some channel swimmers, catch a bee-themed play ...and where can you ask for the libation cunningly known as a "Kentishtowner"?

3. Free gigs in St Pancras

We quite like a bit of live music at St Pancras, and the freestanding piano in the shopping mall area is often being bashed away at by a talented passer-by.

But tonight the return of the Station Sessions sees proper sets by up-and-coming acts play what they grandly call the St Pancras International station concourse. The line-up? Georgi Kay, at 530pm, and Tasha Taylor Johnson at 6pm.

Georgi Kay is already “making waves” in the music world with her EP In My Mind, while Tasha Taylor Johnson – a self-taught singer-songwriter – is all “soaring vocals and bluesy piano”. Reckon that could prove quite atmospheric in the cavernous spaces of St Pancras.

Afterwards you could kick back on the new all day terrace and bar at Shrimpy’s by the canal. Hell yeah.

    1. Kentishtowner

Ha. No, probably less trendy and more inclusive for the whole community as it can be a gallery, educational space, studios, theatre, cinema etc by turn
