6. Got Any Images of Kentish Town Past?

KT assembly house

With the overall aim of bringing history to life the Many Cultures One Community Project is organising a carnival, complete with Ed Berman’s Fun Bus, for June 2013. Then there’s the youth workshops in performing arts and history walks. “Some of us adults meanwhile are tracing the stories of the past and seeking images of Kentish Town life in the 70s, 80s, and 90s,” says organiser Sara Newman, “particularly of council housing, street events, demonstrations, outings and parties. If your readers have any photos that were taken at that time, showing public life in Kentish Town we would love to hear from you.” Email us any images at info@kentishtowner.co.uk.

Thanks to English Heritage Archives for the image.
