The Tufnell Stumble is back – with Damian Lewis too

The Hollywood star is appearing at the next edition of twice-yearly Fortess Road knees-up this week

A savvy way to get ahead with your Christmas shopping may be to swing by this week’s bi-annual celebration of Fortess Road’s independent shops, cafes and boutiques. What they call the Tufnell Stumble, in fact.

And as most locals will know, this year the energy on the street has gathered pace, with seemingly another new opening every week.

On Thursday 23rd, you could do worse than start at jeweller Jessica De Lotz (who’ll no doubt have something cold and fizzy open) before popping by SK Vintage (currently the fave of a certain Kate Moss), Harrington & Squires printers (who designed the above map), Diverse womenswear and up to newly expanded (and really quite impressive) Future & Found. Don’t forget the very rummageable WOW studios too, tucked away on Dartmouth Park Hill.

The organisers assure us that all manner of festivities, bubbly and mulled wine will be flowing to help you on your way. Top ice cream parlour Ruby Violet will also be launching their festive menu, along with various unusual (and no doubt delish) Christmas flavours. We’re pretty sure new vegetarian bar and restaurant Ceremony will be in on the action too.

And if you need any more incentive, none other than film and telly star, Kentishtowner fan and TP resident Damian Lewis is cutting the ribbon at Diverse to declare the whole shebang open. Pass the mead (hic).

Tufnell Stumble, 5pm-late, 23rd Nov. All along Fortess Road up to and around Tufnell Park tube NW5/ N19 (full details on above map).
