Future and Found is taking over Tufnell Park

The popular interiors store is doubling in size, with food and drink on hand too

Well, not exactly. But the neighbourhood’s top interiors destination has heroically done what many indie stores can’t manage: it’s expanding substantially, having nabbed a second shop on Brecknock Road opposite Tufnell Ppark tube.

The big new store opens just after the May bank holiday as an adjoining lifestyle department, with the courtyard behind connecting the two buildings, thus making the perfect spot for a weekend mooch.

During opening hours, drinks and snacks will be served from an old Piaggio van to punters perched on tables and chairs perfectly positioned “to catch the sunshine”, says Andrea, and there’ll also be outdoor furniture and garden accessories dotted about.

The current retail space will house an increased range of furniture and lighting, while an interior designer will be on hand to offer free 30-minute advice sessions on redecorations or furniture choices.
