Pinboard: The Oxford re-launches, as does Queen’s Crescent Market

Also this week: picnic on the Heath, go check out our artist at the Beardsmore Gallery, party until 10am and enjoy exclusive offers

4. Party with the Farmers

Hampstead Heath is getting all pastoral on us this Saturday morning, as Parliament Hill Farmers Market throw a traditional village-style picnic, right opposite their weekly home in the playground at William Ellis School.

For this special summery occasion, as well as all the usual chances to buy fresh breads, organic veg and quality meats direct from the farmers, look out for old fashioned games such as catch the fox, splat the rat and pin the tail on the pig. Money is being raised for The London Orchard Project. Also promised are a hog roast and some rather posh ice cream for afters.

There will be a centrepiece free Punch and Judy show in the recently spruced-up children’s enclosure. We can’t verify if the sausages Mr Punch, the policeman and crocodile will be tussling over are organic, but we reckon they probably will be. 10am-2pm Saturday, behind William Ellis School

  1. Hi Stephanie, membership is indeed pay as you go, via monthly direct debits which can be cancelled at any time. The only one that isn’t is the Gold membership, which is a one-off payment. Let us know if you have any suggestions or questions about this…

  2. Hi, for commitment-phobes, is it possible just to pay (at whatever amount – some sort of premium, of course) to attend a members’ event rather than pay a monthly amount which gives all sorts of lovely member benefits?
