Ich Bin Kentishtowner: Tony Randon, reggae shop owner

Tony lo

Tell us a secret.
Vinyl isn’t going to die. It’s a unique sound, it can’t be duplicated, so it will always be there, no matter what they say.

What is your favourite dish and why?
We have this fish in Jamaica, snapper fish, and I like it steamed. My favourite places to eat it are the restaurants in Stroud Green, Finsbury Park and West Green Road in Tottenham, where I really like the Paradise.

What was your worst gig and why?
That’s going back a bit. Probably some of the really bad gigs at Glastonbury back in the day. Some bands just try way too hard, you know what I mean?

Describe yourself as an animal.
Oh yes, I’d be a lion, if I could be.
