Haku Kitchin
This newly arrived Japanese diner on Fortess boasts a lovely little pared-back interior with nigiri, sushi and sashimi, poke, katsu curry and yakisoba on the menu. 118 Fortess Rd, London NW5 2HL
Bonga
Korean food in the former Kami with a similarly minimal interior offering bibimbap, dumplings, Korean Fried Chicken, BBQ dishes, bao, noodles and more. 8 Fortess Rd, London NW5 2ES
Kakki Katsu
This small chain (with branches in Dalston and Stratford) has opened just opposite The Grafton at the top of Castlehaven Road. Spicy maki, special rolls, sushi boxes, maki, curry and katsu, with a handful of dine-in tables, too. 123 Castlehaven Rd, London NW1 8SJ
Kami
Yes, this is a longstanding fave, but its new location near the tube has transformed what was a humble sushi joint into a rather glam destination restaurant – useful if you’re being spontaneous and can’t get into The Parakeet for dinner, in fact. 260 Kentish Town Road NW5
Korean Cowgirl
This fusion restaurant in fact hails from semi-rural Kent, its first two branches being in Faversham and Canterbury. The idea is to blend Korean with Texan food, so expect spicing and smoky BBQ flavours, although the menu majors on the later. Chalk Farm Rd, London NW1 8AJ
KKini
A lovely and stylish neighbourhood dining room serving up Korean fried udon, BBQ, dumplings, soup, bibimbap and more. You can even cook the rib-eye to your liking on the traditional table-top grills. Read our review here. 131 Fortess Rd NW5 2HR
