MUST DO: A Day for Amy in Camden

Celebrate what would have been the musician's 35th birthday on her home turf

E

veryone remembers where they were when they heard the tragic news, right? And many of us will have visited Camden Square during the week that followed to see the tributes lined up (see photos of them here).

So if you’re a fan we reckon you should be sure to mosey down to the Stables Market on September 15th, for A Day for Amy, a celebration of the acclaimed singer’s life and legacy. After all, she would have been 35 this month.

Images of the late star being projected onto buildings, and there’ll be talks led by community projects in LABS Atrium (covering topics including Mental Health Awareness and ways to build resilience to help prevent drug and alcohol misuse) and live performances featuring musicians from Amy’s Yard (the Winehouse Foundation’s artist development programme), amongst others. It all takes place by the much-visited statue of the legend.

Fancy donning her trademark beehive? There’ll be free hair and make-up sessions, with donations going to the Foundation to further support their work.
