Crepes A La Carte is coming
Ooh la la. Former sushi restaurant Aisuru – bang opposite Arancini Bros on lower Kentish Town Road – was pretty good, so it’s a shame it didn’t make the distance. Instead it reopens in November as this smart French creperie. Expect sweet and savoury crêpes, salads, plus a gluten-free vegan healthy option. Owners Thomas and Eva know what they’re doing: they’ve been working for four years with stalls at Camden Market, Primrose Hill and Brick Lane. From November 30th, 112 Kentish Town Road NW1
Try Duck ‘N’ Roll
A street food venture from a Michelin-starred chef is another level, right? That’s the story with the latest opening in Camden Market. In a new outlet just of Chalk Farm Road, Club Gascon chef Pascal Aussignac is dishing up “classic” duck burger in brioche topped with Ossau-Iraty cheese: served pink, the balsamic onions just the right side of sweet, it’s balanced by the acidity and kick of a spicy tomato sauce. Or try an Asian pulled duck bun topped with BBQ sauce, and meaty deep-fried spring rolls with sweet chilli. Underneath Gilgamesh, Camden Market
Support the Listening Space
Finally, a new community garden needs some ‘seed’ money to get the project moving. The baby of a collective of NHS health professionals, artists and gardeners, the idea is to provide a safe and convivial outdoor space to improve physical and mental wellbeing. On Sat Nov 19th there’s a Big Dig with tidy up, bare-rooted fruit tree-planting and more. Find out more here. Caversham Group Practice, 4 Peckwater Street NW5
