Where? Just on the left of the escalators up to Gilgamesh, this fairly non-distinct Japanese and Korean outlet has actually been open for two years.

What? A tray of mixed sushi. The price? Just £5.50. But what’s more, it’s prepared before your eyes by a master sushi chef. There’s meltingly sof salmon, a prawn or two, and salmon-avocado and cucumber maki rolls. The chef just fills it with what’s fresh that day.

Why? It’s served perfectly room-temperature, the opposite to fridge-cold fast-food sushi outlets.

Notes: A salmon avocado hand roll is just £2.50, a veggie set is £3.50, a smaller sushi set is £5.50 and a “master set” is just £7.50 – and probably big enough to feed two. Fancy some miso? That’s £1.50, although if you’re a local, they might just chuck it in for free.

Don’t: forget the hot food: We’ve already got our eyes on the gyoza, the teriyaki and katsu curry. All around £5-6.

Find Koshi in Camden Market just past the entrance to Gilgamesh. Open daily.
