In Pictures: a year in the life of The Grafton

With their first birthday bash approaching, check out this personal gallery of the award-winning pub's inaugural year

It’s to boozers what Adele is to singing. Or Daniel Day-Lewis to movies. Yes, the people’s drinking palace on Prince of Wales Road reaches its first birthday with more awards and nominations than Mrs Kentishtowner’s had alcohol-free days this year.

And last weekend owners Joel and Susie bagged one more – Best Entertainment Pub at the British Pub Awards. Congrats most definitely due.

So we guess now’s the chance to enjoy a right old knees-up as they celebrate in style. You can read more on their two-day Beer Fest here – and it’s a whopper, with 21 breweries and 54 beers – but in the meantime take a look at their personal gallery of pics taken throughout the first 12 months.

The Grafton 1st birthday Beer Fest runs all weekend. Find the pub on our Nearby Map, or at 20 Prince of Wales Road.
