To be honest we would have recommended the acclaimed E.Mono, had she asked us for a meaty fast-food tip or two.
But it’s still pretty damn cool that zillionaire pop icon Taylor Swift shot her latest video in Kentish Delight – the busy little kebab shop near The Forum in Kentish Town.
And it seems her presence in NW5 – both on the high street and in cute Falkland Place, the pedestrianised backwater that makes a good shortcut to The Pineapple – went almost unremarked at the time on Friday night.
Of course the tabloids and music press have been in a frenzy over the story ever since.
The new video purports to show Taylor on a night out – with scenes shot on the Millennium Bridge, a night bus, and at an unspecified local pub, in addition to the KT ones. All the locations were places she has been to with new British boyfriend Joe Alwyn – who was brought up in Tufnell Park – and the shoot took place between 9pm and 6am, with a crew of 60 people.
According to the Camden New Journal, residents exclaimed they had no idea one of the most recognised pop stars in the world was loitering incognito outside their houses.
But it didn’t escape eagle-eyed Will Borrell, owner of the subterranean Ladies & Gentlemen cocktail bar, who tweeted that the Swift team “were very secretive and didn’t have a permit”; nonetheless he offered her “a martini and she smiled”. Charmer.
Oh, and unconfirmed reports suggest that Tayls was reading our latest print issue in between takes.
Look what they made her do, indeed.
