Natural Aspect is back with Kinobe headlining
Later this month sees the return of the free Natural Aspect Summer Concert, now in its 5th year. Organised by the Heath & Hampstead Society, it takes place at the Parliament Hill Bandstand with main music headliner Kinobe, the iconic chill-out duo from the 1990s. Other acts include fusion ska/soul act Peace & Love, rock ‘n’ roll band Roscoe P Coltrane and infamous local DJ Dan Carrier.

Also on the cards? A circus skills workshop, local greening project map, streetfood, drinks and dancing. “There’s plenty of room to lay down your picnic with delicious stalls offering everything from ice cream to hot dogs to cater to your needs,” says organiser Therese, “so come and relax and be part of this enjoyable and lively occasion.” From 1-5 pm, Aug 31st.
Pineapple pub gets arty
This weekend, Kentish Town’s most famous backstreet boozer is holding an Alternative Summer Exhibition with paintings, sculptures, photographs and other art forms created by pub regulars on Leverton Street. Admission is free, and many of the exhibits will be on sale. You can expect quirky, thought-provoking and beautiful contributions to rival the Royal Academy’s own summer show – so they are claiming, anyway – on August 9th and 10th, Saturday 2-6pm and Sunday 1-9pm. Camden Fringe in full swing
Finally, there are an enormous 450 shows confirmed for this year’s performing arts festival, established in 2006, which takes place across dozens of venues in Camden and beyond during August. There’s always new writing, opera, musicals, stand-up, sketch comedy, dance, cabaret, poetry, opera, mentalism, improvisation and Q&As.
