Camden Darkroom

Expose yourself to Camden Darkroom this weekend

Budding photographer? Check out the open day at an exciting new project in NW5

F

ancy yourself one above the hordes of smartphone snappers? Camden Darkroom is a brand spanking new facility on the Chalk Farm/West Kentish Town borders with a range of membership options to suit everyone from the newbie to occasional user to the “darkroom junkie”.

We’ve been supporters of the programme since last year, when we talked to Philip Grey about his plans to transform a space in Camden into a haven for people who love to print film.

Fast forward nine months and the venture has become a reality (aided by a crowdfunder campaign), with portrait and documentary photographer Catriona Gray now on board too.

From workshops on shooting, processing and printing, to creative alternative photographic processes, you can learn it all from scratch, and even get your film processed if you don’t want to do it yourself.
