Ramo Ramen is coming to Kentish Town

Plus two more new food openings in Camden and Belsize Park

KENTISH TOWN: Ramo Ramen

Remember the awesome Pit Stop Café, run by a family who also owned a streetfood truck on Berwick Street (and pictured above)? It sadly shut last year, and you may have seen that the outlet has been empty for a while. So this new ramen specialist is all the more welcome – and, as the brainchild of the owners of Bintang, it should be a slick operation from the outset. More here. Opening date June TBC, 157 Kentish Town Road NW1

CAMDEN: Kookoo

This pared-back new 15-cover lunchtime deli offers an array of “health-giving and hearty salads” brought by the team behind next-door’s acclaimed Hook fish restaurant. Expect everything from salmon with wasabi and lime to curry-roasted cauliflower, pickled fennel salads and spinach wraps. Open daily (till 6pm) 63-65 Parkway NW1

BELSIZE PARK: Tish London

Liked Chalk Farm Road’s Q Grill (RIP)? Its founder Des McDonald has a new venture opening in the former Giraffe on Haverstock Hill. Described as London’s “largest and finest kosher restaurant”, it hopes to rival West End restaurants with a sizzling charcoal grill. More here. Opens June tbc, Haverstock Hill NW3
