PlantBassLDN: a new monthly vegan-fest launches in Camden

Live music, talks and DJs, with a vegan beer, wine and cocktail menu to boot. Oh, and did we mention the food?

Is Camden the best place to get vegan burgers in the capital? Photo: PR

Along with Hackney, Camden has become the epicentre of the plant-based revolution in the last couple of years. (Those who remember the likes of My Village and Inspiral Lounge will, however, know that it has always embraced alternative and meat-free thinking.)

A new event to look out for is the regular PlantBassLDN takeovers at Lockside Camden, with a series of bashes showcasing London’s current batch of top vegan streetfood chefs.

In the next few months expect the likes of Club Mexicana, Jake’s Vegan Steaks, Olive Sundae, ITIS LDN, V Burger and Little Leaf Food. Resident dessert vendor will be Cupcakes and Shhht!, who’ve been in the market since, well, time began, or at least as long as we can remember.

There’ll also be live music, talks and DJs, with a vegan beer, wine and cocktail menu and supported by Camden Town Brewery, whose entire range is completely vegan (betcha didn’t know that?).

For the launch event Green Grill are in the kitchen, health coach and plant-based chef Denisa Ratulea is talking about wellness and there’s live music by Raimonda, a singer/songwriter from Lithuania. DJs include Max Denham and DJ Deccy.

So we have one question: is this the start of Vebruary?

First event is Thurs 1st Feb and every first Thurs of month, 6pm. @PlantBassLDN Lockside, Camden Market NW1
