Affordable Art Fair is back

The focus of this year’s sprawling annual mish-mash of art is the impact of internationalism and travel. As well as emerging talent from London’s top art schools, there’ll be hundreds of artists who’ve travelled the globe to find their creative inspiration, from Dan Hillier’s focus on the Amazon, to British-Indian artist Natasha Kumar. Hit the Bomb Factory

More art news: situated in a derelict Victorian warehouse, most famously used in the second world war as fully functioning munitions factory, this indie space for contemporary art offers affordable studios, a gallery and workshop. Currently there are 30 artists housed, from graduates to internationally-acclaimed prize winners. Tonight sees the launch of Intimacies by Clémence Hémard-Hermitant, who combines sculpture, painting and collage to examine intimate scenes of lived-in spaces. Free. More info. Hyper-masculinity, anyone?

It’s the last couple of weeks of London-based artist Elliot Dodd’s new show at the Zabludowicz Collection. Called The Manbody, it examines the “absurdity of contemporary technology and hyper-masculinity”. He reflects on the fundamentals of human desire using two characters chatting in a luxury people carrier, their faces obscured by computer generated masks alongside a newly composed soundtrack. Free.
