Tenner Or Less: Rare tuna at Fish & Dish

It's one of Camden Lock's most mobbed lunchtime stalls. We join the queue

Where? Right by Half Hitch gin’s distillery on the western corner of foodie Camden Lock, the prettiest section of Camden Market, and NW1’s answer to Streetfeast.

What? Grilled tuna steak and salad in a box for £7. Simple as.

Why? The friendly duo will cook it to your liking. Which means that seven quid bags you a slab of red-rare tuna (or well done, if you prefer) with punchy salad in tow – think pickled veg, bulgar wheat, black-eyed peas, green leaves, tomatoes, red onion and pomegranate sauce. Chuck in a splash of chilli sauce too.

Don’t: Be in too much of a rush as the queue can take a few minutes, even midweek. And, as ever, you can guarantee there’ll be a tourist or two dithering in front of you.

Notes: There’s a neat daily selection of fish all from Billingsgate on the menu – mackerel, sea bass and salmon all make regular appearances. And bulging wraps are available for the sarnie-inclined, too.

Fish & Dish is open daily at West Yard, Camden Market NW1
