COMMUNITY: bake-off at KTCC

On Saturday, Kentish Town Community Centre is teaming up with new agents on the “patch” Greene & Co for a community bake-off, with VIP judges and prizes. Categories are Best Bake, Best Decoration, Best Vegan, Best Gluten-free and Best in Show. There’ll also be sandwiches, salads and snacks – all prepared by the KTCC’s own youth club. Children’s activities kick off from 2pm: expect a chocolate egg hunt, arts ‘n’ crafts and cupcake decorating. More info here. Saturday 28 March 1.30-5pm. 17 Busby Place NW5

MUSIC: ‘immersive’ choons at Roundhouse

This Friday, Chalk Farm’s Roundhouse is opening its doors to local lads Pocketclub, who’ve recently partnered with digital artist Adam John Williams to create what they describe as an “immersive music experience”. With a live show that nods towards a UKG club night as much as it does a stadium rock concert, it all sounds intriguing, and well worth a punt. Tickets here. Friday 27 March, Roundhouse, Chalk Farm Road.

You’ve got just one more week (until 3rd April) to catch Veronica Rowlands, an artist whose playful and colourful work is created in collaboration with members of the public. For this project Veronica has taken her hand-drawn character to venues across London, and asked folk to colour them in. The results are shown in this exhibition which aims to support the charities, Beating Bowl Cancer and Breast Cancer Care. Open Mon-Fri, till 6pm. Free. 2 Bartholomew Road NW5

CAFE: revisit a Camden classic

Once upon a time there was Tupelo Honey, a striking yellow building on the corner of Parkway and Arlington Street. It served up fantastic coffee, lunches and cocktails over several floors, with roof terraces and hidden rooms galore. Then it shut. So we were intrigued by a new spot on the lower reaches of what they call Steele’s Village that goes by the same name. And guess what? It is the same people, after all. And they have big plans: wine bar, cocktails, daily and evening service. 82 Haverstock Hill NW3
