Giles Coren vs the “curtain twitchers”: survey results revealed

We asked what you thought of the critic's rant in this week's Time Out. Here's what happened

Giles Coren survey resultsNever shy of dropping an outspoken tirade, the area’s famously acerbic critic has been busy ruffling feathers close to home this week.

But we wondered: how popular is his opinion, and the style in which he vents it? So, we let Kentishtowner readers decide – and received close to 300 responses in our 24-hour snap poll.

The good news for Coren is that a combined 58% of you agreed with him (either passionately or mostly – see the table above). Yet, winning by a whisker as a single answer, with 87 votes – just over 30% – the controversial celeb is deemed a right @*%~!.

Or as one wit commented: “He’s mostly speaking sense, but he’s also a right arse.” Ahem.

  1. I guess I’ve pretty much fulfilled my professional brief then. In fact, if i can persuade people of my arguments even though they think I’m a @*#%^, I should probably run for mayor.
