We’ve been enjoy media reports from the High Court this week, as local TV face Noel Fielding gives evidence in a case.
His friend, the former Amy Winehouse minder Jimmy ‘the poet’ Brown, is suing the Met police to the tune of £80,000 for breaking his leg. Both men were pinned to the ground and handcuffed for a suspected drugs offence in Kentish Town Road, although neither of them was later found to be in possession of anything naughty.
Fielding was grilled over his attire, a memorable outfit he was still wearing having stepped off stage at a late night comedy gig in the West End. “I wouldn’t normally march down the street in golden boots and a boiler suit,” he told the Met’s barrister, a Mr Buckett.
After Buckett replied that he “must have stuck out like a sore thumb,” Noel then hit him with a truth.
“It was Kentish Town, so there were quite a few brightly coloured people around!”
You said it, Noel.
