There was a bit of a panic among two-wheeled readers when Kentish Town Road’s long-standing bike shop, Chamberlaine, underwent a recent transformation. But initial worries have proved unfounded as the much-needed refit, and rebranding as Giant Camden, seems only to have secured the shop’s future. And it’s still run by the same team, with the same degree of love and attention for bikes.
Owner Nick Freilich has been at the shop for over two decades, and is excited by the new era (not to mention the gleaming re-booted store), so much so that we’ve teamed up with him to organise a ride out, where Kentishtowners can see the Tour De France together as it passes through Green Park early next month.
Join us for the afternoon on Monday 7th July, where we’ll meet at the shop and cycle through London to watch the race. Feel free to dress up for the occasion; there might even be prizes.
Riders need to be proficient cyclists, although the ride will be taken at a gentle pace. All ages welcome.
And even better, the first 25 people to sign up for the rideout will be given free Giant water bottles on the day.

ah great to hear the new shop is doing well. will have to pop in soon. Looking forward to seeing the Giant-Shimano team on the TDF this year. May even end up with a stage win in London with Kittel firing from the front.
