See Highgate’s celeb vampire-hunter in the flesh

Earlier this summer our story on the Highgate Vampire turned into a mud-slinging battleground with 200 comments and counting. So why not go hear what the central figure in it all has to say?

What really happened in the cemetery all those years ago? Maybe Farrant will shed some light
What really happened in the cemetery all those years ago?

Were you intrigued by the war that raged underneath our article on the Highgate Vampire?

Well, the man at the centre of it, David Farrant, dropped us a line to say he’s giving a talk on the Highgate Vampire in Clerkenwell Green this Monday evening, Sept 23rd, at 7.30pm.

Farrant is one of two mysterious figures caught up in a battleground of factions who are still arguing the toss over what really happened in Highgate Cemetery forty years ago. The other is his arch rival, Sean Manchester.

In a nutshell? The vampire legend emerged from the supposed discovery of “otherworldly presences” in the famous graveyard in the late 1960s. And, before they fell out, vampire-hunters Manchester and Farrant were so notorious at one point that ITV even arranged interviews with them.

Well, it was the 1970s.

Read the full story here. Watch Farrant’s intro to his talk above. And for the record? “I must say I found your article to be fair and well-balanced,” he says, “a refreshing change from some on the internet. Which is why I have since taken the trouble to clarify one or two issues arising.”

You said it. So will Monday’s talk finally lay all this to rest? Somehow we doubt it…

The event takes place at The Green, 29 Clerkenwell Green, EC1M 5TA, organised by David Saunderson of The Spooky Isles. Tickets here.

  1. Years and years ago I was at the Angel in Highgate and had bought a round of drinks for some friends and was attempting to carry them back to the table and I was struggling. David Farrant turned around and said “let me help you with those” and our eyes locked for a moment and he had this great big medallion thing on, but he helped me with the drinks and was really nice.

    Before that, years before that, he had some kind of duel with a white witch or a wizard or something on Parliament Hill and I went with my dad and they had these magic wands and stuff and threw some spells at each other. Nothing happened, just a lot of kids from the estate at Gospel Oak starting taking the piss. It was really funny.

    1. Nick Mead is sadly mistaken about the proposed “duel” on Parliament Hill. It was all of forty years ago, but it is interesting that he thought the event actually took place.

      This is what the Sunday Mirror, 8 April 1973, reported alongside a photograph of David Farrant and a naked girl:

      “The bizarre ceremony will involve naked witches, demon-raisings and the slaughter of a cat.”

      Seán Manchester is quoted in the same newspaper, saying:

      “My opponent intends to raise a demon to destroy me by killing a cat – I will be relying solely on divine power.”

      Farrant insisted: “Blood must be spilled, but the cat will be anaesthetised.”

      The Sun newspaper, 23 November 1972, had earlier quoted Seán Manchester stating that Farrant’s boasts ought to be put to the test:

      “The quickest way to destroy the credibility of a witch trying to earn a reputation for himself is to challenge his magical ability before objective observers.”

      The notorious posters advertising the “duel” were traced at the time to Farrant who had engaged a small printing company used by him on earlier occasions. Brian Netscher, editor of New Witchcraft, revealed in his magazine’s first issue:

      “As to the ‘test of powers’ challenge, it is a matter of public record that Mr Farrant not only accepted it but publicised it widely in the national press and by means of a rather crudely-made poster.”

      Seán Manchester wrote in “From Satan To Christ” (Holy Grail, 1988):

      “There was no sign of Farrant. He had been fearlessly called to account and, like so many others who use witchcraft to instil dread, could not fulfill the least of his claims when the day of reckoning arrived. … Farrant’s excuse was that he would have been lynched by the crowd of onlookers whose arrival was entirely due to the publicity he had created in the preceding weeks.”

      There was no duel. Farrant cried off after having achieved the publicity he craved.

  2. View the non-vampire-hunting “vampire hunter” at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvX1hla9nJg&feature=youtu.be

    Have you heard anything more unconvincing than David Farrant repeating his anecdotal fabrications sandwiched between “I don’t believe in vampires” and “I’m not a vampire hunter”?

    Painful for him to utter (after all, he did have two cracked ribs from yet another drunken fall whilst in an alcoholic stupor) and even more painful for the audience to endure who had forked out £5.00 each for tickets.

    What a useless article. How could anyone be taken in by this obvious charlatan?

  3. Sean “British Occult Society” Manchester is posting here under the name of a society he disbanded in 1988.

    Nick, you’re right about the magician part. When Manchester wasn’t dabbling in Satanism, he styled himself a “white magician”. It’s not even the only “magic” duel he’s engaged himself in (or, at least represented himself engaging in). As to his magician status, here’s what he wrote in “The Highgate Vampire” (1985):

    “The set of symbols I work with are predominantly Christian, yet you will find in the text that I cast a circle, what some might call a Magic Circle. While I am not a witch in any sense of the word, I suppose as a secular person handling consecrated material as a protection against hostile psychic forces, I am practicing “white magic”. The Circle once cast is a ritualised barrier, a consecrated sanctuary; like a church, a mosque or synagogue – like Avebury, Stonehenge and Glastonbury.”

    So the “divine” quote mentioned by Manchester, posting as a defunct society, is deliberately taken out of context, to obscure the *type* of “divine” power being drawn upon. By contrast, in the same book, he also depicts himself engaging in a necromantic ritual – in a scene ripped off from Hammer’s “The Devil Rides Out” (1968), right down to the giant spider’s appearance.

    So if you want to look for “obvious charlatan”, look no further than the guy speaking in the third person under the name of a defunct society.

    1. It is curious and somewhat telling that rather than use a likeness of himself, Anthony Hogg chooses an American actor (Brad Pitt) as his image on Facebook. We could almost be forgiven for thinking he was ashamed of who he really is. Hogg is a friend of most of Farrant’s cronies. These miserable creatures daily stalk the internet to find any mention of Seán Manchester whose advice has always been to ignore this Australian troll unless you, too, want to be stalked and harassed by him for the next ten years.

      See: http://hoggwatch.blogspot.co.uk/

  4. And speaking of “New Witchcraft” magazine, Manchester also appears in it… engaging in an “occult duel” with John Pope (Sean Manchester, “Occult Duel,” New Witchcraft 1, no. 3 [1975]: 10–13). Sean “British Occult Society” Manchester left that bit off.

    1. Dramatically staged pictures of an occult ritual were used as bait in the 1970s (whilst covert operations were in progress) to gain the confidence of diabolists who needed a lot of convincing before they would open up. Jean-Paul Bourre (a notorious French Satanist) took the bait, as did John Pope (a self-proclaimed Satanist). Both were and still remain close friends of David Farrant. New Witchcraft published a dramatically staged occult duel at a time when Pope was open to any form of publicity. He barely recognised what was happening during the procedure and believed it be a real occult duel. Pope has been described as “demented” and “deranged” by those who have met him. Even Farrant was partial to calling him an “imbecile” behind his back. The editor of New Witchcraft will confirm that he was privy to what was really going on and supported what Seán Manchester was trying to do. A period of undercover work was in progress which proved invaluable to those wanting evidence about the satanic underworld. These included Christian organisations specialising in investigating satanic groups and independent film documentary makers, as well as mainstream radio and television.

        1. Ah, your stalker blog, “Hoggwatch”, Sean – it highlights the reason *why* I don’t put much in the way of personal details online: because you keep trying to publicly post them! And even so, the majority of its content is inaccurate. For starters, I don’t have Asberger’s.

          I also love that you criticise me for using someone else’s likeness… while a) not posting under your real name, b) using the name of a society you disbanded in 1988, c) take a look at the image you use to post under: it’s not your real mug, isn’t it? 🙂

          But when confronted by facts, it’s your usual modus operandi: stalk, malign, harass, misrepresent. And that you present yourself as a bishop only makes it more sickening.

  5. “Stalk, malign, harass, misrepresent”? These are precisely Anthony Hogg’s tactics, as any examination of where he manifests will confirm.

    Asperger Syndrome is characterised by qualitative impairment in social interaction, by stereotyped and restricted patterns of behaviour, activities and interests; and by an intense preoccupation with a narrow subject, plus one-sided verbosity.

    All of which is a perfect description of Hogg who ruins every forum he plagues with his pernicious pedantry and twisted version of the facts.

    1. No, that’s my criticism of you that you desperately try to flip back on me, because you’re barely capable of independent thought, Sean. Even your stalker blog, “Hoggwatch”, which refers to me as a “troll” – is actually a term I bestowed on you, when you were masquerading under another alias online. Your thieving habits aren’t limited to that, of course – your online writings are littered with examples of plagiarism and you’ve swiped blog titles from me, too.

      As I said, I don’t have Asberger’s. Try and justify your online diagnosis all you like – doesn’t mean I have it. And if you *do* think I have it, it only makes your rank behaviour against me even worse, doesn’t it Sean?

      You can use all the $2 words you like, too – but it doesn’t obscure what I *actually* do, which is expose your lies and deceits, for instance, what you’re posting on this comment thread. Speaking in the third person, as you’ve been doing, only cements my case.

      1. Posted today on a Facebook group discussing the Highgate Vampire case and Johnny-come-latelys like Hogg who has never been within a thousand miles of Highgate and was not born at the time the case was under investigation:

        “The troll has now closed his facebook hate group to non-members. Who knows just what skulduggery this stalker and his group of misfits are now plotting behind closed doors?” – Ferdinand Maximiliano Von Habsburg

        “I am not remotely bothered by what any of these people have to say about me. Their agenda is quite transparent and will appeal only to individuals of like mind. I will not be judged by their kind. With the eventual going down of the sun, God shall be my judge.” – Seán Manchester

        1. Ah, quoting a Mexican emperor who was shot to death in 1867? That does wonders for your credibility, Sean. I hope you realise you’ve been suckered in by another sockpuppet – one who is mocking your own tendency to hide behind historical personages like Arminius Vambrey. Ah, you’ll learn soon enough.

          As to quoting yourself… while carrying on the way you have been on here… not helping your case, Sean.

          1. A troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

            The advice to ignore rather than engage with a troll is sometimes phrased as “Please do not feed the trolls.”

          2. Copy-pasting the same thing over and over again, Sean (and ignoring the discussion at hand – for instance, that you quote someone masquerading as a dead Mexican emperor), highlights that you’re actually the troll here. So, by all means – keep bombarding this comment section with copy-paste stuff. You’re only proving how right I am. 🙂

  6. This man ,calling himself the” British Occult Society “is not,in fact anything to do with it.David Farrant is in charge of that.This guy ,calling himself,a “Bishop”is in fact ,not one at all-he is a fraud.His name is Sean Manchester,but he goes under a lot of aliases too.He has caused a great deal of trouble to the legitimate British Psychic And Occult Society,and has a habit of being vigilant of other peoples true interests and copying their work connected to Highgate and the Highgate Vampire.This is why he is so unpopular with Mr Hogg.He stole a lot of work from Mr Hogg,and recently pinched[there is no better name for it]some studies of Highgate -a book and a group-set up by David Farrants wife.

    1. “Blackorchid” is Angie Watkins, a former supporter of David Farrant and a current ally of Anthony Hogg. She is tarred with much the same brush as the pair of them.

      David Farrant once styled himself “high priest” of wicca/witchcraft and also “president” of the “British Psychic and Occult Society” for which he claims “20,000 followers” (as reported in the Finchley Press, 22 February 1980). The reality is much closer to a mere couple of members (namely himself and John Pope) plus transient dupes, some of whom have taken their clothes off for manufactured “witchcraft” pictures that ultimately ended up in home-produced pamphlets, his local press, national newspapers with an eye for sensationalism, exploitative magazines, and invariably the Sunday tabloids.

      Farrant tried to hijack the nomenclature of the British Occult Society in the early 1970s. The last authentic president of the BOS was featured as such on a Thames Television programme on 13 March 1970, and a BBC documentary on 15 October 1970. He was properly captioned “President of the British Occult Society” on each of these transmissions. The bone fide British Occult Society was formally dissolved on 8 August 1988. A remnant still remains and it is one that remnant posting this rebuttal. The BOS had nothing to do with witchcraft, or indeed Farrant’s disgraceful publicity stunts. It existed purely for research into hidden, ie occult, phenomena.

      The Press Association’s executive editor circulated an edict to the effect that the prefix “claimed” or “self-styled” must be employed where Farrant’s fraudulent description hijacking the BOS nomenclature was quoted in print. This measure obliged Farrant to insert the word “Psychic” into the title. Hence, from 1983 he used the nomenclature “BPOS.” Notwithstanding this modification, the reputation of the genuine BOS suffered in the wake of Farrant’s phoney association together with his much publicised trials at the Old Bailey where he was sentenced to almost five years imprisonment for crimes committed in Highgate Cemetery and for threatening police witnesses in another man’s case for sexual assault on a minor (he was found guilty of that sexual assault, and Farrant was found guilty of trying to pervert the course of justice).

      Farrant featured with Satanists Raymond Bogart and David Austen in a News of the World exposé, 17 July 1994, under the heading “Pervert Preys On Kids In Name Of The Devil.” The piece devoted to Farrant was subtitled: “Witch Has Sex With Coven Of Beauties: He Avoids Ugly Ones.” It feature story revealed:

      “Witch David Farrant has sex with scores of beautiful women. But it’s not good looks or charm that gets girls falling at his feet for ceremonies like the one he is pictures conducting above. Twice-divorced Farrant is a High Priest of the British Occult Society and it is his job to have sex with new female recruits. But he avoids the ugly ones. ‘As High Priest I have to have sex with a girl at her initiation, but if she is very unattractive I might pass the task on to someone else. I’m only human,’ he admitted. ‘I’ve had sex with scores of women over the years. But I concentrate on the ritual, not her body. Her hands are tied behind her back to symbolise secrecy.’ Orgies are also all in a night’s work for Farrant, 47, who was once jailed for interfering with graves. ‘You have to have a pretty high sex drive to be in the coven,’ he boasted. ‘My first wife was a Roman Catholic and suspected what was going on and we split up.’ He claims his rituals are good and can cure cancer and make the blind see again. The High Priest who says he’s a white Wicca witch, holds nude ceremonies in woods or the High Priestess’s house in Barnet, North London. ‘You’d be surprised who is involved. Our members include actors, doctors, policemen and politicians. Sex creates a lot of energy which can be channelled into what we are trying to achieve’.”

      Needless to say, it is illegal in the UK to make any claim of being able to cure a terminal disease, such as cancer, and any other claim to cure an erstwhile incurable condition.

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Some press quotes about the man who attempted to hijack the name of the BOS:
      “David Farrant sacrificed a cat. It was drugged and he held it up and severed the head with a dagger. … If I could start again, I wouldn’t have anything to do with witchcraft. As it is, it’s like drink and drugs. I can’t give it up.”
      ~ Martine de Sacy (quoted in the News of the World) 23 September 1973
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      “A man who called himself a high priest of witchcraft was convicted last night … Judge Michael Argyle talked of frightened witnesses. He said they feared the accused man, 28-year-old David Farrant, and his talk of black magic.”

      ~ The Sun newspaper (front page headline: King of Black Magic Guilty) 26 June 1974

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      “All he talked about was his witchcraft. He was very vain.”
      ~ Julia Batsford (ex-girlfriend quoted in the Daily Mail) 26 June 1974
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      “I think he’s crazy.”

      ~ Canon John Pearce Higgins (quoted in the Daily Express) 26 June 1974

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      “But for the results of his actions, this scruffy little witch could be laughed at. But no one can laugh at a man who admits slitting the throat of a live cat before launching a blood-smeared orgy. Or at a man who has helped reduce at least two women to frightened misery.”
      ~ Sue Kentish (quoted in her investigative article in the News of the World) 23 September 1973
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      “Any interference with a corpse during black magic rituals could properly be regarded as a great scandal and a disgrace to religion, decency and morality.”

      ~ Judge Michael Argyle (sentencing Farrant, quoted in The Sun) 26 June 1974

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Any insinuation that Seán Manchester is anything other than a bona fide Bishop is not to be entertained with any degree of seriousness. He has had lesser slurs on his episcopal standing put to the test with an outcome totally in his favour.
      For example, when a complaint was made to the Broadcasting Standards Commission:
      “The Commission notes that the intention of 101.4 Angel FM had been to clarify Bishop Manchester’s position and that they had not intended to suggest that he was not a real bishop. The Commission further notes that the announcement was prepared only during the live transmission [of an interview recorded some weeks earlier] and the broadcaster’s admission that ‘confusion’ as to his status could have been avoided had wider research been conducted. In the Commission’s view, the back announcement was unfair in that it did not reflect Bishop Manchester’s status as a properly consecrated bishop of the Old Catholic Church, unjustifiably raising doubts in listeners’ minds as to his standing. In this, the Commission finds unfairness to Bishop Manchester.”
    1. “Zoltan” is a friend and supporter of Angie Watkins (aka “Blackorchid”).
      How many times have we seen “Zoltan” pop up like some love-sick puppy wherever Angie Watkins posts her ill-advised comments usually comprising personal attacks?
      “Zoltan, Hound of Dracula” is a 1978 horror film starring Michael Pataki and Jose Ferrer, released by Crown International Pictures. It revolves around a dog with the spirit of the vampire within it.
      Small wonder why Angie Watkins’ lap-dog has chosen this unflattering nom-de-plume.
    2. You’d be a rich man, zoltan!
      Meanwhile, I thought he had better things to do with his time. Like, srun a church he’s supposed to be head of. Or maybe pop out into the garden for a bit of vampire hunting.
      Instead, he seems obsessed by copy-pasting material from his websites. Rather than be obsessed with his undeserved title – one *anyone* can earn, thanks to online ordinations – he should focus more on being an actual Christian, instead of being an obsessive stalker with numerous aliases.
        Is Anthony Hogg a troll? You decide …
        1. What I discuss relates to the article or what’s being posted here. So, by your own definition, Sean, I’m not a troll.
          The “advice” you referred to, re: ignoring me, is what you advised, yourself. Clearly, you’re not capable of following it – and it was a duplicitous thing to write anyway, considering you’re simply stalking me under another alias.
          What you’re doing here reminds me of what your former mate, Kev Chesham had to say about you:
          “I remember one occasion when Sean laughingly waved a piece of paper at me, which he kept beside the computer in the front room. He boasted about the list of aliases inscribed upon it, and how he used them regularly in a form of cyber warfare, in that, as he described it, he would search the internet for any forum which mentioned himself, David Farrant, or the Highgate Vampire. His modus operandi as he described it was to create an argument, then argue against it under up to 4 or 5 aliases until the conversation got so heated that the forum was closed down. He bragged that he had had ‘many successes’, especially when he used the ‘incitement to religious hatred card’ as he laughingly referred to it.”
          Source: http://kevchesham.blogspot.co.uk/p/kevin-chesham-autobiography-first.html
          I see old habits die hard with you, Sean.
          1. One of the most astonishing tirades with David Farrant’s fingerprints all over it, unsurprisingly regurgitated by the troll Anthony Hogg, is the stream of malicious fabrication from Kevin Chesham about Seán Manchester which alleges:
            “I remember one occasion when Sean laughingly waved a piece of paper at me, which he kept beside the computer in the front room. He boasted about the list of aliases inscribed upon it, and how he used them regularly in a form of cyber warfare, in that, as he described it, he would search the internet for any forum which mentioned himself, David Farrant, or the Highgate Vampire. His modus operandi as he described it was to create an argument, then argue against it under up to 4 or 5 aliases until the conversation got so heated that the forum was closed down. He bragged that he had had ‘many successes’, especially when he used the ‘incitement to religious hatred card’ as he laughingly referred to it. Sean’s justification for complaining to all internet forums where David Farrant’s opinions about the supposed ‘Highgate Vampire’ were freely admitted, was framed in the words of Adolf Hitler: ‘As soon as by one’s own propaganda even a glimpse of right on the other side is admitted, the cause for doubting one’s own right is laid.’ I remember this was another favourite quote of his. I found all this astonishing, especially as I am someone who lives an outdoors, physically active life, and could not imagine the extremity of mental disturbance that would lead him to behave in such a way. My perplexity and concern that all was not well was exacerbated when my wife told me, on our way home one day, that Sarah had confided in her that Sean spent so many hours stalking people on the internet that he had ceased taking his meals with her some years ago, preferring to take them alone at the computer.”
            Not a single word of the above paragraph is true. Seán Manchester does not have a computer in his front room. Kevin Chesham and Beverley Mason seem to forget that there were always other people present who are witness to the fact that these claims are completely false. The computer occasionally used by Seán Manchester, his wife and friends at his retreat is in the study on the first floor. No conversation took place between Seán Manchester and Kevin Chesham, or between Seán Manchester’s wife and Beverley Mason, as described. These are vile falsehoods, and the fact that these two followers of Farrant are willing to use Seán Manchester’s wife in this way to further their perverse vendetta is despicable. Given that they were making secret recordings of conversations of Seán Manchester and his wife on at least the last two visits (and possibly on more occasions than that) it should not be too difficult for them to prove their claim. Yet they will not be able to do so because Kevin Chesham and Beverley Mason are lying. Seán Manchester and his wife invariably eat all their meals together, and never in a study. Seán Manchester does not stalk people, but has been stalked by that clique who cling to a man who was jailed for making black magic threats, vandalism and desecration, a man, moreover, against whom Seán Manchester and his wife, along with others, have filed official police complaints. As for the Hitler quote, Seán Manchester was not even aware of it until he read it in Kevin Chesham’s personal insult. Chesham is clearly very familiar with quotes attributed to Hitler and Goebbels, which makes sense in view of his association in recent times with the neo-Nazi-Satanist Kerry Bolton on whose instructions, we suspect, he initially turned against Seán Manchester. Farrant lacks the intelligence of someone like Bolton, but morally and intellectually matches Chesham and, coupled with their obvious craving for public recognition of some sort, find in each other strange bedfellows fighting a common cause, ie pursuing a hate campaign with malice aforethought to cause harm to Seán Manchester specifically and anyone close to him. Reading Kevin Chesham’s string of untruths about Seán Manchester is no different to anything Farrant has to say, and we can see that much of it is spoon-fed by Farrant to Chesham who developed a taste for poison soon after his discovery of Kerry Bolton some years back.
            See: http://kevin-chesham.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/allegations.html
    1. Try growing a brain, Zoltan, instead of repeating twaddle from brainless trolls who cannot come up with anything vaguely original when fabricating their nastiness.
      Each and every personal insult and vicious attack on Seán Manchester has its origin either with David Farrant or, as in the case of Kevin Chesham, in collusion with Farrant.
      Try thinking for yourself just for once, Zoltan. The notion might appear novel, but try it.
    2. What Angie Watkins does do, Zoltan is repeat falsehood without a care about who she is hurting with her spite and malice. I could give you several recent examples, but take the claim she published on her Facebook group that Seán Manchester’s wife inherited a fortune on which they both live affluent lifestyles. Nothing could be further from the truth, of course, but where did she get that untruth from (if she didn’t completely make it it up herself)? There is only one person, namely Farrant. Why would she rely on anything Farrant says when her own experience of him demonstrated conclusively that he is a compulsive liar? Then there is the matter of the British Occult Society. On this very thread she incorrectly states: “David Farrant is in charge of [the BOS].” No he’s not. Farrant has never had any connection to the British Occult Society and no claim to the contrary can be substantiated to the contrary. The British Occult Society, in fact, were among the first to publicly warn against Farrant’s behaviour in 1970 at a time, oddly enough, when Farrant himself was making no claim of membership of the BOS.
      All Angie Watkins has done is repeat what Farrant has falsely claimed about things in the full knowledge that he is a liar, and she has done so because it suits her own anti-Seán Manchester agenda which has been mostly encouraged and exacerbated by Anthony Hogg her current flavour of the month.
      Angie Watkins also stated on this thread that Seán Manchester is not a Bishop when it has been substantiated at a BSC hearing chaired by a senior Anglican Bishop that he most definitely is. Where did she get that piece of nonsense from? Farrant, of course.
      1. Sean “British Occult Society” Manchester writes: “Each and every personal insult and vicious attack on Seán Manchester has its origin either with David Farrant…”
        An attempt to nullify any criticism of himself based on his own behaviour and lies, and to waylay independent, critical thought, with no basis in reality, despite the conspiratorial overtones.
        Another typical strategy Manchester employs against critics, the other being that he is “attacked” for being a “traditional Christian” (what Chesham alluded to in his commentary). Funny, because he certainly doesn’t act like one, as his comments here, via his alias, attest.
        1. It’s come to something when someone who claims to be a Christian (Anthony Hogg) resorts to attacking an ordained and consecrated English Catholic (in a country on the other side of the world to where Hogg resides) by repeatedly regurgitating the venom of an unbalanced neo-Nazi working in collusion with an unremorseful man convicted of making death threats on witnesses, tomb vandalism, cemetery desecration, theft, possession of an illegal firearm and indecency in a churchyard.
          Hogg certainly doesn’t act like a Christian.
          You will find he will keep coming back again and again with more of his vitriol.
          Exactly as you would expect of a troll. But not of a Christian.
          Hogg is therefore also a hypocrite.
          1. Thank you for proving my point again, Sean. Twisting what I say, then proving what I said, re: strategies…
            “Another typical strategy Manchester employs against critics, the other being that he is “attacked” for being a “traditional Christian” (what Chesham alluded to in his commentary)”
            …by distorting the issue to make it seem like I’m criticising you for your “traditional Christianity” which is something you clearly don’t embody. Many of the crimes you mentioned there, actually apply to yourself.
            Your repeated insistence on dragging Farrant into your quibbles, at the drop of a hat, says a lot about your stance suggesting he should be “ignored” (something you also suggested on your stalker blog, “Hoggwatch”, but deliberately overturn by posting here under your sockpuppet alias).
            The fact, is, you deserve criticism for your lies, dodgy claims, harassment, hypocrisy, plagiarism, writing under numerous aliases to defend yourself and attack others, etc. Not to mention your Nazi sympathies, while representing yourself as an honest-to-goodness man of the cloth – which you clearly aren’t. And if you find that too hard to swallow, look at the reams of criticism you dish out on others. What’s good for the goose and all that.
  7. You try growing a brain yourself !
    Fact :- Vampires DONT exist , never mind turning into spider like you claim Sean
    do you really think people believe that – if you do your a very sad man
    Even David Farrant has admittied that it was HOAX ,
    Why don’t you get real and do the same
    1. That’s right, Zoltan keep playing the game mindless trolls play.
      OPEN YOUR EYES!
      Can’t you see how totally obsessed Anthony Hogg is with Seán Manchester?
      Australian Anthony Hogg has never met or held a conversation with Seán Manchester and is less than half the Englishman’s age. Yet every one of his websites, blogs, forums and groups is filled to overflowing with anti-Seán Manchester rhetoric, much of which propaganda directly or indirectly sources back to David Farrant without whom Hogg wouldn’t have very much to say. The same applies to where Hogg posts his comments on other people’s sites, bogs, forums and groups. Just look at this one!
      The sort of stuff Hogg is obsessing over he has published in comments many times before down the years. He chooses the most extreme, vindictive and malicious material to disseminate. His favourite regurgitation in recent years has been Kevin Chesham’s disgusting blog which was concocted between Chesham and Farrant who are in total collusion. Unlike Hogg, Seán Manchester has met and known both these deviants.
      Kevin Chesham is someone who has abused steroids on and off throughout his life. After his stroke, brought on by steroid abuse, he had a total personality transplant. He became openly neo-Nazi, erratic and increasingly aggressive. This led to him turning against Seán Manchester, attempting to set him up and looking to Farrant for help.
      As to people’s experiences outside the natural laws of science, you are not in a position to sit in judgement. Personal experiences are more than just what people “believe.” It is their perception of something that happened to them. Your condemnation of what you are attributing to Seán Manchester could equally apply to all manner of mystical and religious experience. Do you condemn people who claim to have seen the Virgin Mary? Or ghosts? Or all manner of supernatural phenomena?
      If you do, you are very narrow minded and you will obviously reject Seán Manchester’s account of this or that supernatural experience which most definitely was not a “hoax.”
      1. I am not going to labour the point.Sean Manchester is a complete fraud,has always been a fraud and continues to be a fraud!He is a man ,who goes around in a Bishops costume ,doing little more than stealing others work and information about Highgate .Quite why he does this,ive no idea,but he does.When one confronts him with the uncomfortable facts of what he does[and he has been confronted many times,and continues to be confronted]he takes refuge in rhe fact that he lives in a large house ,is well off and has many followers.This has,of course ,little to do with the earlier stated facts.The only reason he lives in a large house isabsolutely nothing to do with his own efforts.But whether he lives in a large house or not ,is a matter of no importance.Its his pinching of other peoples work,that everyone objects to,and smearing other peoples names ,calling them trolls or any number of insults ,will NOT disguise the fact.
        1. Blackorchid, I would suggest he engages in those practices to “eliminate the competition”, that is, attack anything that could jeopardise sales of his books, or reveal that he’s certainly not the “traditional Christian” he makes himself out to be.
          Essentially, he is trying to preserve a persona, easily unravelled by the litany of sockpuppets he posts under. That he expects people to believe they’re not him, only shows how little he regards reader intelligence.
          His other thieving practices, including stealing group and blog names, etc. is obviously intended as a form of identity theft and hijacking “brands” that divert back to his own work – which has, most notably, been ripped-off from “Dracula.” Among other sources.
          A similar principle applies to his use of the term “troll”, which is also an example of his thieving tendencies. As mentioned earlier, that’s the title he flipped onto me, after I called him that while he was a member of the Highgate Cemetery Vampire Appreciation Society, while masquerading under yet another alias. As anyone can see here, he’s clearly the one actually trolling the group. His grand intent, as Chesham has noted, is to likely shut down commentary on this thread by bombarding it with attacks, insults and copy-pasted material.
          1. How can the British Occult Society (an unidentified friend of Sean Manchester) be “trolling” or attempting to “shut down commentary) when the British Occult Society was on this page BEFORE Anthony Hogg who came along to do precisely the things he now accuses the us of doing? The only reason we are still here is to refute the defamation being obsessively repeated by Hogg from Farrant and Chesham. Had Hogg not trolled this page we would have had no need to have made any further comments to our original correction to Nick Mead’s error in his comment over a month ago. Hogg did not turn up until almost a month after our response to Nick Mead.
            Hogg’s principal blog was disabled by WordPress for repeated offences that included defamation and illegally infringing Seán Manchester’s lawfully owned copyright material. Such violations occured on multiple occasions over a number of years. He has now turned to other services to continue his trolling. On one of his alternate blogs he uploaded most of what was on his suspended WordPress blog, minus the infringed images which he could not access. That did not stop him uploading freshly stolen images. Hogg deviously registered this new blog in the name of UK resident Trystan Lewis Swale, an atheist who likes to attack those who hold religious and particularly supernatural beliefs. Swale has conspired with an infamous figure convicted of satanic crimes to try to discredit Seán Manchester on his hostile podcasts. He continues to this day to post extremely abusive and derogatory remarks about the Bishop on Facebook and elsewhere. Anthony Hogg (who has never been to the UK) arranged to have his blog registered using a British-based Server (UK Web Solutions Direct) in the name of Trystan Swale of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. Swale describes himself as a “paranormal and Fortean investigator,” but in reality is a hardened sceptic who dismisses the paranormal out-of-hand and derides anyone who does not. This replacement blog lasted a matter of days due to Hogg and Swale refusing to remove two stolen images of Seán Manchester (taken long before either of them were born) and being unable to prove, as they had falsely claimed, that the pictures were their own copyright.
            Soon after the replacement blog was disabled, Trystan Swale posted the following comment on Facebook:
            “Some of you may notice that the DAWWIH archive will be disappearing soon, if it hasn’t already gone. A Mr Manchester has slapped a DMCA notice on me. My web host has acted upon this without proof of any copyright ownership from Manchester. This is despite DMCA notices not having any binding legality in the UK and despite dispute over the legal status of the content concerned. My hosts have advised they will act upon Manchester’s claim, albeit in the absence of any evidence supporting him. I was told that regardless of my legal position I will be required to demonstrate that Manchester is not the copyright holder. Consequently I am in the process of switching hosts.”
            .
            The proof of Seán Manchester’s ownership exists in the form of his possession of the 35mm negatives and the fact that when these two pictures were published in the 1970s they were shown to be his exclusive copyright. There is also the small matter of neither Trystan Swale or Anthony Hogg having been born when the pictures in question were taken. Swale speaks as if there is no copyright law in the United Kingdom, There is, of course, but what was glaringly obvious to his Web Host and Server is that he did not own copyright of what was in dispute and had placed alongside the photographs misleading material, ie the words “Black Magic” emblazoned in letters as big as the pictures themselves, plus further images of a man convicted of satanic crimes at Highgate Cemetery in 1974. One of these images was used as evidence to convict him. The inference is clear, and such juxtaposing is a familar strategy of these two antagonistic stalkers of Seán Manchester.
            Trystan Swale and Anthony Hogg somehow feel they have the right to steal photographs exclusively owned by Seán Manchester and illegally publish them to incite hatred using false and derogatory attributions. And if Seán Manchester dares to recover his own property by issuing a legal take-down notice these two malcontents consider it to be “harassment.” Such is the behaviour of mindless trolls who are obsessed with someone they do not know.
            Anthony Hogg has adopted a variety of pseudonyms in the past, including The Inquisitive One, The Overseer, Amateur Vampirolgist and tnuocalucard (“Count Dracula” spelt backwards). These days he is arrogant enough to use his real name, but he goes to considerable lengths to protect his exact whereabouts to prevent prosecution for stalking, harassment and inciting hatred against an elderly Catholic Bishop in the UK. Hogg has gone so far as to publish a UK address in full (offered specifically for people wanting to receive signed and dedicated copies of Seán Manchester’s books). The excuse given is that he found it on the internet. His dissemination of the address was not an act of benevolence, however, because it appeared in the context of a stream of vitriol and malicious allegations against the person with whom the address is associated. One of Hogg’s principal internet friends is the son of David Farrant. He, too, recently published Seán Manchester’s address in full on YouTube. It was removed for seriously violating Seán Manchester’s rights and his privacy.
            A typical example of the exceptionally offensive manner in which the self-styled “Baptist” Hogg hypocritically and abusively refers to Seán Manchester comes from his recently disabled blog:
            .
            “I’m not going to disclose the identity of this potty prelate, wanker, total cock and blatant hypocrite. On an unrelated note, in the lead up to my blog’s closure, I was subjected to repeated DMCA takedown notices issued by Sean Manchester.”
            Unsurprisingly, the blog on which Anthony Hogg posted the foul-mouthed comments was suspended. Within days he had transferred this profanity, word for word, to yet another blog where it still remains.
        2. “Blackorchid” (Angie Watkins) cannot substantiate any of her allegations and would find it impossible to do so because they are malicious lies.
          It is hardly surprising to learn that not so long ago the same Angie Watkins sought out and found David Farrant. Yet she did not seek out Seán Manchester.
          This tells you all you need to know about “Blackorchid.”
      2. I write about the Highgate Vampire case and the people involved. Sean “British Occult Society” Manchester factors into that. Included in my commentary are exposes on his tendency to plagiarise (including the history of his church), attacking critics, pointing out the sockpuppets he uses. It’s all part and parcel.
        Manchester only applies this criticism – i.e. that no one should discuss him in a critical sense – to himself, because he certainly doesn’t label his constant criticism of Farrant as “obsessive” – probably because it largely emanates from him. That is, a double standard.
        The only thing “disgusting” about Chesham’s blog, of course, is what it revealed about Manchester – that he’s a closet Nazi. It’s no wonder he’s keen to suppress and try to discredit it.
        1. “The only thing ‘disgusting’ about Chesham’s blog, of course, is what it revealed about Manchester – that he’s a closet Nazi. It’s no wonder he’s keen to suppress and try to discredit it.” – Anthony Hogg
          These are Seán Manchester’s own words on the matter of Kevin Chesham:
          “I personally believe a turning point for Kevin Chesham was him having a stroke just prior to his time in New Zealand and association with Kerry Bolton. Strokes can cause complete and often devastating changes in personality. This certainly happened where Kevin Chesham is concerned. I hardly recognised him from the person I had known, meeting him only very occasionally, down the years. Had anyone asked me if I thought Kevin Chesham was an ideological Fascist or a National Socialist in the first three decades of my knowing him, I would have said definitely not, but if the same people were to have asked me the same question in the last handful of years, I would have been obliged to answer in the affirmative.
          “I do not judge people by their beliefs, opinions and ideas. It is how they behave and how true they are that matters most. If I appear to be attacking Kevin Chesham it is not because of any beliefs or opinions he holds. It is because of his behaviour, which includes bearing false witness against me and lying in the full knowledge that he is lying. His actions, therefore, are made a thousand times worse because he does not believe in his own rectitude. Had I known what I have come to know about him and his wife in recent years, I would obviously not have provided either of them with character references for employment. Neither are especially intelligent. Kevin Chesham is poorly educated and his employment at local government leisure establishments has not been anything to really become much concerned over, but the thought of Beverley Mason teaching children, much less being a head teacher, is enough to send a shudder down anyone’s spine.
          “For the record, I have at no time owed allegiance to any political party. The only time I stood as a prospective candidate in the political process, which was at local government level, was on an independent platform on the single issue of preserving a woodland cemetery that formed part of the Great Northern London Cemetery. This did not involve party politics; though I was supported at the time by the then Ecology Party which later evolved into the Green Party, and various individuals of all political backgrounds. My other campaigning against nuclear energy, nuclear weapons, the arms trade and such wars as my country deemed fit to engage itself in attracted people from all parts of the political spectrum and none. I have personally known people, even leaders, at both extremes of party politics and quite a few in the middle. All attempts to involve me in party politics in the past have utterly failed. I have absolutely no faith in the political system, a view held more now than ever before by many people, and suspect I would be found unacceptable to most parties making an approach as my allegiance is not to Caesar but to God. Moreover, I would not want to be found acceptable to those who are driven by power, greed and corruption as I believe are the majority of politicians. This has always been my position all along.
          “We are probably all ‘political,’ however, in the sense that we hold opinions that make us so, but this is a far cry from belonging to a political party. I was physically attacked by National Front thugs on Christmas Eve in 1981 whilst holding a ‘Fast for Peace’ vigil at Finchley, London. Kevin Chesham and his wife would have folk believe I canvassed for the National Front. This is a falsehood fed to him by David Farrant who has been making that false and malicious allegation for the last decade. Anyone checking the record will find no evidence of me ever having supported or belonging to the National Front or, for that matter, any other political party.
          “I have always opposed bigotry and ultra-nationalism such as evinced by those who hate other races for no other reason than they belong to that race. Not every single person in such a party is necessarily a racial bigot, but many are, which I personally find unacceptable. I love people of all races and enjoy the diversity of mankind. I also want to preserve and protect my own culture and heritage, not least its Faith.”
        2. “He certainly doesn’t label his constant criticism of Farrant as ‘obsessive’.” – Anthony Hogg
          These are Seán Manchester’s own words on the matter of David Farrant:
          I would like to set the record straight on David Farrant and then leave that topic alone permanently. If others wish to return to it, that is their prerogative. But I shall not.
          The Hampstead & Highgate Express, 6 March 1970, records our first meeting on its front page, under the banner headline “Why Do The Foxes Die?” The newspaper recounts:
          “David Farrant … returned to the spot last weekend and disovered a dead fox. ‘Several other foxes have also been found dead in the cemetery,’ he said at his home in Priestwood Mansions, Archway Road, Highgate. ‘The odd thing is there was no outward sign of how they died. Much remains unexplained, but what I have recently learnt all points to the vampire theory being the most likely answer. Should this be so, I for one am prepared to pursue it, taking whatever means might be necessary so that we can all rest.’ The vampire theory was suggested last week by Mr Seán Manchester, president of the British Occult Society. … Mr Farrant and Mr Manchester met in the cemetery at the weekend.”
          The British Occult Society (1860-1988) was an investigation bureau which existed solely for the purpose of examining occult claims and alleged paranormal activity. It gave birth to the Vampire Research Society, which still survives. My adversary carried out his threat to “pursue [the vampire], taking whatever means might be necessary” and was arrested on the night of 17 August 1970. The Daily Express, 19 August 1970, allowed him to explain:
          “‘My intention was to search out the supernatural being and destroy it by plunging the stake [found in his possession when arrested in Highgate Cemetery by police] in its heart.’” The report continues: “David Farrant pleaded guilty at Clerkenwell, London, to entering St Michael’s churchyard, Highgate Cemetery, for an unlawful purpose. Farrant told police he had just moved to London when he heard people talking about the vampire in Highgate Cemetery. In a statement he said that he heard the vampire rises out of a grave and wanders about the cemetery on the look-out for human beings on whose blood it thrives. Police keeping watch for followers of a black magic cult arrested him. He was remanded in custody for reports. Last night, Mr Seán Manchester, leader of the British Occult Society, said: ‘I am convinced that a vampire exists in Highgate Cemetery. Local residents and passers-by have reported seeing a ghostlike figure of massive proportions near the north gate.’”
          My adversary published on his personal blog, 2 July 2009: “I first met [Seán Manchester] in late 1967 in a pub called the Woodman in Highgate.” However, on the same blog one week later, 9 July 2009, he claimed: “You asked how I first actually spoke to [Seán Manchester] … I believe it was in early 1969.” Such revisionism is reminiscent of this man’s self-proclaimed sightings of the vampire phenomenon at Highgate Cemetery. His earliest published statement was in the form of a letter he wrote to the editor of the Hampstead & Highgate Express which appeared on 6 February 1970. In his published letter, he claims to have witnessed “a grey figure” no less than three times:
          “The first occasion was on Christmas Eve. … The second sighting, a week later, was also brief. Last week, the figure appeared, only a few yards inside the gates. … I have no knowledge in this field and I would be interested to hear if any other readers have seen anything of this nature.”
          If we roll forward some thirty years and read his self-published pamphlets, forum messages and blog comments, we discover he claims to have had only two sightings. Now roll forward almost four decades from that first letter to a local newspaper and listen to an interview he gave on a blogtalk radio in 2009 where he apparently claims to have had only one sighting of the Highgate Vampire. That, at least, is what he told Steve Genier when interviewed in June 2009. He would reiterate his “one sighting” on Arcadia when interviewed by Andrew Gough later in the same year. The reality is rather more prosaic, ie no sightings. He merely boarded what he perceived to be a convenient publicity bandwagon in early 1970.
          Let us return to his blog of 9 July 2009 because in it he continues when he allegedly met me in “early 1969” (having suddenly revised his “late 1967” claim from a week earlier):
          “He [Seán Manchester] said that the ‘ghost’ I had been reported as witnessing at Highgate Cemetery might indeed be one such ‘real’ vampire!”
          Yet my adversary first “reported” his ghostly apparition in February 1970, not late 1969. He did so to the Hampstead & Highgate Express. This was his overture in the press prior to which he had not reported anything to anyone. Our meeting came about solely because of his alleged sightings of a spectral figure in a letter published in the Hampstead & Highgate Express. According to others, that letter was an attempt by him to hoax a ghost story in his local newspaper after having heard tales in the pubs he frequented of a vampire said to haunt Highgate Cemetery. These tales of a vampire had been circulating for many years. His “ghost” was no more than an invention of his own making. In early 1970 he even took to wearing ghost-like make-up while posing for cameras at the graveyard. This was one of the “silly games” he played (referred to by his wife under oath when she appeared as a defence witness for him at the Old Bailey in June 1974).
          Today my adversary proclaims: “I dare to say that ridiculous ‘fanged vampires’ simply do not exist! If there is any ‘feud’ at all, that is the main reason for it: simply because I have said publicly – and repeatedly – that such entities simply do not exist.”
          His words appear on Andrew Gough’s Arcadia. Are they true? Not where I am concerned. The bad blood between us was triggered in late 1970 by him making black magic telephone threats to someone known to him (but not to me) who later committed suicide, and his attempting to convince his victim and her husband that I was the offender. They were persuaded only temporarily. This led to an assault on me at the entrance to the offices of the British Occult Society and a subsequent court case which I won. It was during this case that I first learned about the black magic threats. My adversary sat grinning inanely in the public gallery. For my part, this is where all the antipathy has its origin.
          So what do we do with such a person? My immediate advice, provided the law has not been broken and lives are not put at risk, would be to ignore him and anyone he might use in the ruthless pursuit of his malicious vendetta. Our enemies should not be the people of this world, but rather the spirits of evil that have entered this world. He is a lost soul who has very likely attracted something spiritually malevolent early in his life which has ever since influenced him and darkened his thoughts. It has always been clear to me that he was more interested in the limelight than investigating the paranormal. He also developed a fascination with me which quickly turned into an obsession. By which time he had taken to emulating me in a manner more resembling parody. When I distanced myself a few months later, he turned unpleasant and court cases ensued. This was followed by his fraudulent adoption of my title and the name of the organisation I presided over, ie the British Occult Society. The media were always careful to qualify his bogus claim with the prefix “self-styled.” He eventually altered the name of his non-existent group to “British Psychic and Occult Society” to get the media off his back.
          Things began to spiral downwards at an alarming rate as he turned to what ostensibly appeared to be diabolism, but in truth was just further attention-seeking for the sake of the media. He nonetheless engaged in theatrical stunts of an occult nature in churchyards, cemeteries, woods and derelict houses which took on an increasingly satanic appearance. This led to him being charged, tried and convicted for offences which include malicious vandalism to tombs, interfering with and offering indignity to remains of the dead through the use of black magic and attempting to pervert the course of justice by threatening police witnesses with voodoo death dolls impaled with pins. By which time I had decided to get to know him properly for the purpose of discovering exactly what was going on and to try and resolve whatever lay behind the enmity he evinced toward me. This occurred some time after he had invited what he describes as a “satanic force” to enter him in a necromantic ritual he claims to have staged at Highgate Cemetery with a naked accomplice.
          The ritual is described at length by him in an article he wrote while serving a four years and eight months prison sentence. It was published in the fourth issue of New Witchcraft magazine. However, the person I discovered was a phoney who believed only in his own self-aggrandisement and the amount of newsprint his manufactured stunts might achieve. He certainly did not believe in his own rectitude; so rather than resolve anything my getting to know him only served to make matters worse because he now understood I was aware he was not sincere in anything other than self-publicity. Throughout that period he was exceptionally devious and deceitful.
          I do not rule out the very real possibility that by engaging in theatrical Satanism for the benefit of the newspapers he might very well have become possessed by something demonic in the process. I naturally feel sad for him, but he is ultimately the sum of his own choices. None of us are perfect or even remotely so, but there are those who make no attempt to be anything other than wicked. I believe my adversary to be such a person. Whatever harm he has attempted to inflict on me is really of little consequence. It is the abuse of innocent people which has always concerned me; people who have largely never heard of him but are nevertheless contacted or otherwise unjustifiably drawn into his nefarious machinations by having their identities falsely associated with his falsehood.
          He has published their names in malicious pamphlets and on the internet, often without their knowledge. Occasionally he will publish people’s addresses. My London secretary, Diana, suffered this sort of abuse from him in the final year of her life as she died in pain of cancer. Her name and address had been published in one of his self-published pamphlets which he then sent to her. My wife and in-laws have received similar malicious mail from this man, as have a wide number of friends, colleagues and associates. Some have complained to the police who tend to recommend them hiring a lawyer and taking civil action. He will go to the most extraordinary lengths to gather information on anyone he feels might have a connection with me, including people from a number of decades back. It is difficult to discern his life comprising of anything other than the pursuit of this meaningless vendetta against me and mine for the last forty years. He has certainly not been in employment of any kind during that period. Over the the decades I have extended invitations for him to meet me privately at my Retreat. They have been ignored. I now doubt this matter will ever be resolved unless he owns to the darkness dominating him and his activities and seeks help to address what he has become.
          Meanwhile, he preoccupies himself from one day to the next with the dissemination of items intended to give personal insult to me while continuing to produce a stream of libellous abuse in malicious pamphlets from the Muswell Hill quarters found for him when he was released on parole more than three and a half decades ago. He is exceptionally unhealthy, chain smokes, consumes much alcohol and is unable to walk properly due to various maladies and afflictions often caused by injuries sustained whilst inebriated. I am sometimes asked why I do not sue him for defamation of character. The problem is it would solve nothing. He would not pay the court costs and damages if he lost, as he receives means-tested welfare. Moreover, he still owes tens of thousands of pounds from a libel case he lost in the 1970s and would welcome any publicity a new trial might bring. I prefer to deny him the oxygen of publicity where I am concerned and recommend others to do the same.
          1. The fact you’re still copy-pasting this stuff – and deferring to words you wrote elsewhere under your real name – while continuing this “British Occult Society” charade, Sean, only highlights your lack of credibility.
            Quoting yourself in third person, does not a fact make.
          2. No rebuttal statement would be necessary if Anthony Hogg was not trolling with his copy and pasted vitriol about Seán Manchester.
            Obviously the source is Seán Manchester if we are quoting him directly or using in rebuttal his material for information. That’s a given.
          3. Rebuttals are fine, Sean. But you’re not really rebutting; you’re bombarding this thread with nonsense under one of your numerous sockpuppet identities.
            And by quoting Sean Manchester, you mean yourself. Enough games, already, Sean. It’s no wonder you’re not taken seriously. Twisting everything around like a schoolkid – “copy and pasted” – even though it’s clearly behaviour you’ve been engaging here, does not make you more believable. One day, you’ll realise that. But perhaps you don’t want to believe – you just want to assert some kind of dominance over the thread; to hijack it for your usual nefarious ends.
            But it never works, Sean. No matter how many years you keep it going for.
      1. You say, Zoltan, you have better things to do. Clearly not. Otherwise you wouldn’t have followed “Blackorchid” Angie Watkins to this page and started commenting.
        If the link is genuine and everyone can see Farrant admitting to his hoax, how could anyone say he wasn’t admitting to a hoax? The FACT is that you have not provided any link. You have only alluded to one which is nowhere near the same thing. Statements of a controversial nature require to be backed with evidence.
        We know Farrant’s “ghost” was a hoax and have said so for a great many years. Farrant’s “ghost,” however, is a completely separate issue to the case of the Highgate Vampire which did not involve Farrant at any level of seriousness.
        For example, as recently as a handful of days ago, “Della” (who claims to be Farrant’s third wife) published this comment:
        “Highgate has had a few bad run ins with morbid thrill-seekers in the past, and I wouldn’t want to be accused of encouraging that sort of thing. Down with that sort of thing! Well, not really, unless you make a nuisance of yourself or are carrying a homemade stake in your trousers.” – “Della Farrant” (Happy Hallowe’en, 31 October 2013)
        Now fast forward the timeline 21 minutes into the 34 minutes’ video to view original footage of David Farrant pulling a homemade stake out of his trousers on a BBC television reconstruction of the night of his arrest at Highgate Cemetery:
        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVQyNE22IK8
        The bottom line is that these people are hypocritical liars and cannot be trusted.
  8. How can the British Occult Society (this commentator being an unidentified friend of Sean Manchester) be “trolling” or attempting to “shut down commentary”) when the British Occult Society was on this page long BEFORE Anthony Hogg who arrived to do precisely the things he now accuses the British Occult Society of doing? The only reason we are still here is to refute the familiar defamation being obsessively repeated over and over again by Hogg from the usual source, ie Farrant and Chesham, two of the most unpleasant characters anyone is ever likely to encounter.
    Had Hogg not trolled this page the British Occult Society would have had no need to have made any further comments to its original correction to Nick Mead’s error in his comment over a month ago. Hogg did not turn up until almost a month after our response to Nick Mead.
    1. By “unidentified friend”, you’re referring to yourself again, Sean. Your sockpuppet routine is getting old.
      As to being on here long before me, note your return shortly *after* I posted. You don’t own the thread. I’ve already explained how you’re trying to have it shut down, in concordance with your usual bombardment efforts, under your bewildering array of sockpuppet aliases.
      I did not troll the page, as has already been explained. Nice try, though. I, too, addressed Nick’s comment, Sean.
  9. What is getting truly “old” is Anthony Hogg insisting here and everywhere else in having the last word. He does it everywhere he trolls and finds mention of Seán Manchester.
    He came onto this page a month after I had replied to somebody else about something that does not concern him in the slightest, and since being here he has has executed his familiar trolling routine and doubtless will continue to do so till the cows come home.
  1. Years and years ago I was at the Angel in Highgate and had bought a round of drinks for some friends and was attempting to carry them back to the table and I was struggling. David Farrant turned around and said “let me help you with those” and our eyes locked for a moment and he had this great big medallion thing on, but he helped me with the drinks and was really nice.
    Before that, years before that, he had some kind of duel with a white witch or a wizard or something on Parliament Hill and I went with my dad and they had these magic wands and stuff and threw some spells at each other. Nothing happened, just a lot of kids from the estate at Gospel Oak starting taking the piss. It was really funny.
    1. Nick Mead is sadly mistaken about the proposed “duel” on Parliament Hill. It was all of forty years ago, but it is interesting that he thought the event actually took place.
      This is what the Sunday Mirror, 8 April 1973, reported alongside a photograph of David Farrant and a naked girl:
      “The bizarre ceremony will involve naked witches, demon-raisings and the slaughter of a cat.”
      Seán Manchester is quoted in the same newspaper, saying:
      “My opponent intends to raise a demon to destroy me by killing a cat – I will be relying solely on divine power.”
      Farrant insisted: “Blood must be spilled, but the cat will be anaesthetised.”
      The Sun newspaper, 23 November 1972, had earlier quoted Seán Manchester stating that Farrant’s boasts ought to be put to the test:
      “The quickest way to destroy the credibility of a witch trying to earn a reputation for himself is to challenge his magical ability before objective observers.”
      The notorious posters advertising the “duel” were traced at the time to Farrant who had engaged a small printing company used by him on earlier occasions. Brian Netscher, editor of New Witchcraft, revealed in his magazine’s first issue:
      “As to the ‘test of powers’ challenge, it is a matter of public record that Mr Farrant not only accepted it but publicised it widely in the national press and by means of a rather crudely-made poster.”
      Seán Manchester wrote in “From Satan To Christ” (Holy Grail, 1988):
      “There was no sign of Farrant. He had been fearlessly called to account and, like so many others who use witchcraft to instil dread, could not fulfill the least of his claims when the day of reckoning arrived. … Farrant’s excuse was that he would have been lynched by the crowd of onlookers whose arrival was entirely due to the publicity he had created in the preceding weeks.”
      There was no duel. Farrant cried off after having achieved the publicity he craved.
  2. View the non-vampire-hunting “vampire hunter” at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvX1hla9nJg&feature=youtu.be
    Have you heard anything more unconvincing than David Farrant repeating his anecdotal fabrications sandwiched between “I don’t believe in vampires” and “I’m not a vampire hunter”?
    Painful for him to utter (after all, he did have two cracked ribs from yet another drunken fall whilst in an alcoholic stupor) and even more painful for the audience to endure who had forked out £5.00 each for tickets.
    What a useless article. How could anyone be taken in by this obvious charlatan?
  3. Sean “British Occult Society” Manchester is posting here under the name of a society he disbanded in 1988.
    Nick, you’re right about the magician part. When Manchester wasn’t dabbling in Satanism, he styled himself a “white magician”. It’s not even the only “magic” duel he’s engaged himself in (or, at least represented himself engaging in). As to his magician status, here’s what he wrote in “The Highgate Vampire” (1985):
    “The set of symbols I work with are predominantly Christian, yet you will find in the text that I cast a circle, what some might call a Magic Circle. While I am not a witch in any sense of the word, I suppose as a secular person handling consecrated material as a protection against hostile psychic forces, I am practicing “white magic”. The Circle once cast is a ritualised barrier, a consecrated sanctuary; like a church, a mosque or synagogue – like Avebury, Stonehenge and Glastonbury.”
    So the “divine” quote mentioned by Manchester, posting as a defunct society, is deliberately taken out of context, to obscure the *type* of “divine” power being drawn upon. By contrast, in the same book, he also depicts himself engaging in a necromantic ritual – in a scene ripped off from Hammer’s “The Devil Rides Out” (1968), right down to the giant spider’s appearance.
    So if you want to look for “obvious charlatan”, look no further than the guy speaking in the third person under the name of a defunct society.
    1. It is curious and somewhat telling that rather than use a likeness of himself, Anthony Hogg chooses an American actor (Brad Pitt) as his image on Facebook. We could almost be forgiven for thinking he was ashamed of who he really is. Hogg is a friend of most of Farrant’s cronies. These miserable creatures daily stalk the internet to find any mention of Seán Manchester whose advice has always been to ignore this Australian troll unless you, too, want to be stalked and harassed by him for the next ten years.
      See: http://hoggwatch.blogspot.co.uk/
  4. And speaking of “New Witchcraft” magazine, Manchester also appears in it… engaging in an “occult duel” with John Pope (Sean Manchester, “Occult Duel,” New Witchcraft 1, no. 3 [1975]: 10–13). Sean “British Occult Society” Manchester left that bit off.
    1. Dramatically staged pictures of an occult ritual were used as bait in the 1970s (whilst covert operations were in progress) to gain the confidence of diabolists who needed a lot of convincing before they would open up. Jean-Paul Bourre (a notorious French Satanist) took the bait, as did John Pope (a self-proclaimed Satanist). Both were and still remain close friends of David Farrant. New Witchcraft published a dramatically staged occult duel at a time when Pope was open to any form of publicity. He barely recognised what was happening during the procedure and believed it be a real occult duel. Pope has been described as “demented” and “deranged” by those who have met him. Even Farrant was partial to calling him an “imbecile” behind his back. The editor of New Witchcraft will confirm that he was privy to what was really going on and supported what Seán Manchester was trying to do. A period of undercover work was in progress which proved invaluable to those wanting evidence about the satanic underworld. These included Christian organisations specialising in investigating satanic groups and independent film documentary makers, as well as mainstream radio and television.
        1. Ah, your stalker blog, “Hoggwatch”, Sean – it highlights the reason *why* I don’t put much in the way of personal details online: because you keep trying to publicly post them! And even so, the majority of its content is inaccurate. For starters, I don’t have Asberger’s.
          I also love that you criticise me for using someone else’s likeness… while a) not posting under your real name, b) using the name of a society you disbanded in 1988, c) take a look at the image you use to post under: it’s not your real mug, isn’t it? 🙂
          But when confronted by facts, it’s your usual modus operandi: stalk, malign, harass, misrepresent. And that you present yourself as a bishop only makes it more sickening.
  5. “Stalk, malign, harass, misrepresent”? These are precisely Anthony Hogg’s tactics, as any examination of where he manifests will confirm.
    Asperger Syndrome is characterised by qualitative impairment in social interaction, by stereotyped and restricted patterns of behaviour, activities and interests; and by an intense preoccupation with a narrow subject, plus one-sided verbosity.
    All of which is a perfect description of Hogg who ruins every forum he plagues with his pernicious pedantry and twisted version of the facts.
    1. No, that’s my criticism of you that you desperately try to flip back on me, because you’re barely capable of independent thought, Sean. Even your stalker blog, “Hoggwatch”, which refers to me as a “troll” – is actually a term I bestowed on you, when you were masquerading under another alias online. Your thieving habits aren’t limited to that, of course – your online writings are littered with examples of plagiarism and you’ve swiped blog titles from me, too.
      As I said, I don’t have Asberger’s. Try and justify your online diagnosis all you like – doesn’t mean I have it. And if you *do* think I have it, it only makes your rank behaviour against me even worse, doesn’t it Sean?
      You can use all the $2 words you like, too – but it doesn’t obscure what I *actually* do, which is expose your lies and deceits, for instance, what you’re posting on this comment thread. Speaking in the third person, as you’ve been doing, only cements my case.
      1. Posted today on a Facebook group discussing the Highgate Vampire case and Johnny-come-latelys like Hogg who has never been within a thousand miles of Highgate and was not born at the time the case was under investigation:
        “The troll has now closed his facebook hate group to non-members. Who knows just what skulduggery this stalker and his group of misfits are now plotting behind closed doors?” – Ferdinand Maximiliano Von Habsburg
        “I am not remotely bothered by what any of these people have to say about me. Their agenda is quite transparent and will appeal only to individuals of like mind. I will not be judged by their kind. With the eventual going down of the sun, God shall be my judge.” – Seán Manchester
        1. Ah, quoting a Mexican emperor who was shot to death in 1867? That does wonders for your credibility, Sean. I hope you realise you’ve been suckered in by another sockpuppet – one who is mocking your own tendency to hide behind historical personages like Arminius Vambrey. Ah, you’ll learn soon enough.
          As to quoting yourself… while carrying on the way you have been on here… not helping your case, Sean.
          1. A troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
            The advice to ignore rather than engage with a troll is sometimes phrased as “Please do not feed the trolls.”
          2. Copy-pasting the same thing over and over again, Sean (and ignoring the discussion at hand – for instance, that you quote someone masquerading as a dead Mexican emperor), highlights that you’re actually the troll here. So, by all means – keep bombarding this comment section with copy-paste stuff. You’re only proving how right I am. 🙂
  6. This man ,calling himself the” British Occult Society “is not,in fact anything to do with it.David Farrant is in charge of that.This guy ,calling himself,a “Bishop”is in fact ,not one at all-he is a fraud.His name is Sean Manchester,but he goes under a lot of aliases too.He has caused a great deal of trouble to the legitimate British Psychic And Occult Society,and has a habit of being vigilant of other peoples true interests and copying their work connected to Highgate and the Highgate Vampire.This is why he is so unpopular with Mr Hogg.He stole a lot of work from Mr Hogg,and recently pinched[there is no better name for it]some studies of Highgate -a book and a group-set up by David Farrants wife.
    1. “Blackorchid” is Angie Watkins, a former supporter of David Farrant and a current ally of Anthony Hogg. She is tarred with much the same brush as the pair of them.
      David Farrant once styled himself “high priest” of wicca/witchcraft and also “president” of the “British Psychic and Occult Society” for which he claims “20,000 followers” (as reported in the Finchley Press, 22 February 1980). The reality is much closer to a mere couple of members (namely himself and John Pope) plus transient dupes, some of whom have taken their clothes off for manufactured “witchcraft” pictures that ultimately ended up in home-produced pamphlets, his local press, national newspapers with an eye for sensationalism, exploitative magazines, and invariably the Sunday tabloids.
      Farrant tried to hijack the nomenclature of the British Occult Society in the early 1970s. The last authentic president of the BOS was featured as such on a Thames Television programme on 13 March 1970, and a BBC documentary on 15 October 1970. He was properly captioned “President of the British Occult Society” on each of these transmissions. The bone fide British Occult Society was formally dissolved on 8 August 1988. A remnant still remains and it is one that remnant posting this rebuttal. The BOS had nothing to do with witchcraft, or indeed Farrant’s disgraceful publicity stunts. It existed purely for research into hidden, ie occult, phenomena.
      The Press Association’s executive editor circulated an edict to the effect that the prefix “claimed” or “self-styled” must be employed where Farrant’s fraudulent description hijacking the BOS nomenclature was quoted in print. This measure obliged Farrant to insert the word “Psychic” into the title. Hence, from 1983 he used the nomenclature “BPOS.” Notwithstanding this modification, the reputation of the genuine BOS suffered in the wake of Farrant’s phoney association together with his much publicised trials at the Old Bailey where he was sentenced to almost five years imprisonment for crimes committed in Highgate Cemetery and for threatening police witnesses in another man’s case for sexual assault on a minor (he was found guilty of that sexual assault, and Farrant was found guilty of trying to pervert the course of justice).
      Farrant featured with Satanists Raymond Bogart and David Austen in a News of the World exposé, 17 July 1994, under the heading “Pervert Preys On Kids In Name Of The Devil.” The piece devoted to Farrant was subtitled: “Witch Has Sex With Coven Of Beauties: He Avoids Ugly Ones.” It feature story revealed:
      “Witch David Farrant has sex with scores of beautiful women. But it’s not good looks or charm that gets girls falling at his feet for ceremonies like the one he is pictures conducting above. Twice-divorced Farrant is a High Priest of the British Occult Society and it is his job to have sex with new female recruits. But he avoids the ugly ones. ‘As High Priest I have to have sex with a girl at her initiation, but if she is very unattractive I might pass the task on to someone else. I’m only human,’ he admitted. ‘I’ve had sex with scores of women over the years. But I concentrate on the ritual, not her body. Her hands are tied behind her back to symbolise secrecy.’ Orgies are also all in a night’s work for Farrant, 47, who was once jailed for interfering with graves. ‘You have to have a pretty high sex drive to be in the coven,’ he boasted. ‘My first wife was a Roman Catholic and suspected what was going on and we split up.’ He claims his rituals are good and can cure cancer and make the blind see again. The High Priest who says he’s a white Wicca witch, holds nude ceremonies in woods or the High Priestess’s house in Barnet, North London. ‘You’d be surprised who is involved. Our members include actors, doctors, policemen and politicians. Sex creates a lot of energy which can be channelled into what we are trying to achieve’.”
      Needless to say, it is illegal in the UK to make any claim of being able to cure a terminal disease, such as cancer, and any other claim to cure an erstwhile incurable condition.
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      Some press quotes about the man who attempted to hijack the name of the BOS:

      “David Farrant sacrificed a cat. It was drugged and he held it up and severed the head with a dagger. … If I could start again, I wouldn’t have anything to do with witchcraft. As it is, it’s like drink and drugs. I can’t give it up.”

      ~ Martine de Sacy (quoted in the News of the World) 23 September 1973

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      “A man who called himself a high priest of witchcraft was convicted last night … Judge Michael Argyle talked of frightened witnesses. He said they feared the accused man, 28-year-old David Farrant, and his talk of black magic.”
      ~ The Sun newspaper (front page headline: King of Black Magic Guilty) 26 June 1974
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      “All he talked about was his witchcraft. He was very vain.”

      ~ Julia Batsford (ex-girlfriend quoted in the Daily Mail) 26 June 1974

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      “I think he’s crazy.”
      ~ Canon John Pearce Higgins (quoted in the Daily Express) 26 June 1974
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      “But for the results of his actions, this scruffy little witch could be laughed at. But no one can laugh at a man who admits slitting the throat of a live cat before launching a blood-smeared orgy. Or at a man who has helped reduce at least two women to frightened misery.”

      ~ Sue Kentish (quoted in her investigative article in the News of the World) 23 September 1973

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      “Any interference with a corpse during black magic rituals could properly be regarded as a great scandal and a disgrace to religion, decency and morality.”
      ~ Judge Michael Argyle (sentencing Farrant, quoted in The Sun) 26 June 1974
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      Any insinuation that Seán Manchester is anything other than a bona fide Bishop is not to be entertained with any degree of seriousness. He has had lesser slurs on his episcopal standing put to the test with an outcome totally in his favour.

      For example, when a complaint was made to the Broadcasting Standards Commission:

      “The Commission notes that the intention of 101.4 Angel FM had been to clarify Bishop Manchester’s position and that they had not intended to suggest that he was not a real bishop. The Commission further notes that the announcement was prepared only during the live transmission [of an interview recorded some weeks earlier] and the broadcaster’s admission that ‘confusion’ as to his status could have been avoided had wider research been conducted. In the Commission’s view, the back announcement was unfair in that it did not reflect Bishop Manchester’s status as a properly consecrated bishop of the Old Catholic Church, unjustifiably raising doubts in listeners’ minds as to his standing. In this, the Commission finds unfairness to Bishop Manchester.”

    1. “Zoltan” is a friend and supporter of Angie Watkins (aka “Blackorchid”).

      How many times have we seen “Zoltan” pop up like some love-sick puppy wherever Angie Watkins posts her ill-advised comments usually comprising personal attacks?

      “Zoltan, Hound of Dracula” is a 1978 horror film starring Michael Pataki and Jose Ferrer, released by Crown International Pictures. It revolves around a dog with the spirit of the vampire within it.

      Small wonder why Angie Watkins’ lap-dog has chosen this unflattering nom-de-plume.

    2. You’d be a rich man, zoltan!

      Meanwhile, I thought he had better things to do with his time. Like, srun a church he’s supposed to be head of. Or maybe pop out into the garden for a bit of vampire hunting.

      Instead, he seems obsessed by copy-pasting material from his websites. Rather than be obsessed with his undeserved title – one *anyone* can earn, thanks to online ordinations – he should focus more on being an actual Christian, instead of being an obsessive stalker with numerous aliases.

        Is Anthony Hogg a troll? You decide …

        1. What I discuss relates to the article or what’s being posted here. So, by your own definition, Sean, I’m not a troll.

          The “advice” you referred to, re: ignoring me, is what you advised, yourself. Clearly, you’re not capable of following it – and it was a duplicitous thing to write anyway, considering you’re simply stalking me under another alias.

          What you’re doing here reminds me of what your former mate, Kev Chesham had to say about you:

          “I remember one occasion when Sean laughingly waved a piece of paper at me, which he kept beside the computer in the front room. He boasted about the list of aliases inscribed upon it, and how he used them regularly in a form of cyber warfare, in that, as he described it, he would search the internet for any forum which mentioned himself, David Farrant, or the Highgate Vampire. His modus operandi as he described it was to create an argument, then argue against it under up to 4 or 5 aliases until the conversation got so heated that the forum was closed down. He bragged that he had had ‘many successes’, especially when he used the ‘incitement to religious hatred card’ as he laughingly referred to it.”

          Source: http://kevchesham.blogspot.co.uk/p/kevin-chesham-autobiography-first.html

          I see old habits die hard with you, Sean.

          1. One of the most astonishing tirades with David Farrant’s fingerprints all over it, unsurprisingly regurgitated by the troll Anthony Hogg, is the stream of malicious fabrication from Kevin Chesham about Seán Manchester which alleges:

            “I remember one occasion when Sean laughingly waved a piece of paper at me, which he kept beside the computer in the front room. He boasted about the list of aliases inscribed upon it, and how he used them regularly in a form of cyber warfare, in that, as he described it, he would search the internet for any forum which mentioned himself, David Farrant, or the Highgate Vampire. His modus operandi as he described it was to create an argument, then argue against it under up to 4 or 5 aliases until the conversation got so heated that the forum was closed down. He bragged that he had had ‘many successes’, especially when he used the ‘incitement to religious hatred card’ as he laughingly referred to it. Sean’s justification for complaining to all internet forums where David Farrant’s opinions about the supposed ‘Highgate Vampire’ were freely admitted, was framed in the words of Adolf Hitler: ‘As soon as by one’s own propaganda even a glimpse of right on the other side is admitted, the cause for doubting one’s own right is laid.’ I remember this was another favourite quote of his. I found all this astonishing, especially as I am someone who lives an outdoors, physically active life, and could not imagine the extremity of mental disturbance that would lead him to behave in such a way. My perplexity and concern that all was not well was exacerbated when my wife told me, on our way home one day, that Sarah had confided in her that Sean spent so many hours stalking people on the internet that he had ceased taking his meals with her some years ago, preferring to take them alone at the computer.”

            Not a single word of the above paragraph is true. Seán Manchester does not have a computer in his front room. Kevin Chesham and Beverley Mason seem to forget that there were always other people present who are witness to the fact that these claims are completely false. The computer occasionally used by Seán Manchester, his wife and friends at his retreat is in the study on the first floor. No conversation took place between Seán Manchester and Kevin Chesham, or between Seán Manchester’s wife and Beverley Mason, as described. These are vile falsehoods, and the fact that these two followers of Farrant are willing to use Seán Manchester’s wife in this way to further their perverse vendetta is despicable. Given that they were making secret recordings of conversations of Seán Manchester and his wife on at least the last two visits (and possibly on more occasions than that) it should not be too difficult for them to prove their claim. Yet they will not be able to do so because Kevin Chesham and Beverley Mason are lying. Seán Manchester and his wife invariably eat all their meals together, and never in a study. Seán Manchester does not stalk people, but has been stalked by that clique who cling to a man who was jailed for making black magic threats, vandalism and desecration, a man, moreover, against whom Seán Manchester and his wife, along with others, have filed official police complaints. As for the Hitler quote, Seán Manchester was not even aware of it until he read it in Kevin Chesham’s personal insult. Chesham is clearly very familiar with quotes attributed to Hitler and Goebbels, which makes sense in view of his association in recent times with the neo-Nazi-Satanist Kerry Bolton on whose instructions, we suspect, he initially turned against Seán Manchester. Farrant lacks the intelligence of someone like Bolton, but morally and intellectually matches Chesham and, coupled with their obvious craving for public recognition of some sort, find in each other strange bedfellows fighting a common cause, ie pursuing a hate campaign with malice aforethought to cause harm to Seán Manchester specifically and anyone close to him. Reading Kevin Chesham’s string of untruths about Seán Manchester is no different to anything Farrant has to say, and we can see that much of it is spoon-fed by Farrant to Chesham who developed a taste for poison soon after his discovery of Kerry Bolton some years back.

            See: http://kevin-chesham.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/allegations.html

    1. Try growing a brain, Zoltan, instead of repeating twaddle from brainless trolls who cannot come up with anything vaguely original when fabricating their nastiness.

      Each and every personal insult and vicious attack on Seán Manchester has its origin either with David Farrant or, as in the case of Kevin Chesham, in collusion with Farrant.

      Try thinking for yourself just for once, Zoltan. The notion might appear novel, but try it.

    2. What Angie Watkins does do, Zoltan is repeat falsehood without a care about who she is hurting with her spite and malice. I could give you several recent examples, but take the claim she published on her Facebook group that Seán Manchester’s wife inherited a fortune on which they both live affluent lifestyles. Nothing could be further from the truth, of course, but where did she get that untruth from (if she didn’t completely make it it up herself)? There is only one person, namely Farrant. Why would she rely on anything Farrant says when her own experience of him demonstrated conclusively that he is a compulsive liar? Then there is the matter of the British Occult Society. On this very thread she incorrectly states: “David Farrant is in charge of [the BOS].” No he’s not. Farrant has never had any connection to the British Occult Society and no claim to the contrary can be substantiated to the contrary. The British Occult Society, in fact, were among the first to publicly warn against Farrant’s behaviour in 1970 at a time, oddly enough, when Farrant himself was making no claim of membership of the BOS.

      All Angie Watkins has done is repeat what Farrant has falsely claimed about things in the full knowledge that he is a liar, and she has done so because it suits her own anti-Seán Manchester agenda which has been mostly encouraged and exacerbated by Anthony Hogg her current flavour of the month.

      Angie Watkins also stated on this thread that Seán Manchester is not a Bishop when it has been substantiated at a BSC hearing chaired by a senior Anglican Bishop that he most definitely is. Where did she get that piece of nonsense from? Farrant, of course.

      1. Sean “British Occult Society” Manchester writes: “Each and every personal insult and vicious attack on Seán Manchester has its origin either with David Farrant…”

        An attempt to nullify any criticism of himself based on his own behaviour and lies, and to waylay independent, critical thought, with no basis in reality, despite the conspiratorial overtones.

        Another typical strategy Manchester employs against critics, the other being that he is “attacked” for being a “traditional Christian” (what Chesham alluded to in his commentary). Funny, because he certainly doesn’t act like one, as his comments here, via his alias, attest.

        1. It’s come to something when someone who claims to be a Christian (Anthony Hogg) resorts to attacking an ordained and consecrated English Catholic (in a country on the other side of the world to where Hogg resides) by repeatedly regurgitating the venom of an unbalanced neo-Nazi working in collusion with an unremorseful man convicted of making death threats on witnesses, tomb vandalism, cemetery desecration, theft, possession of an illegal firearm and indecency in a churchyard.

          Hogg certainly doesn’t act like a Christian.

          You will find he will keep coming back again and again with more of his vitriol.

          Exactly as you would expect of a troll. But not of a Christian.

          Hogg is therefore also a hypocrite.

          1. Thank you for proving my point again, Sean. Twisting what I say, then proving what I said, re: strategies…

            “Another typical strategy Manchester employs against critics, the other being that he is “attacked” for being a “traditional Christian” (what Chesham alluded to in his commentary)”

            …by distorting the issue to make it seem like I’m criticising you for your “traditional Christianity” which is something you clearly don’t embody. Many of the crimes you mentioned there, actually apply to yourself.

            Your repeated insistence on dragging Farrant into your quibbles, at the drop of a hat, says a lot about your stance suggesting he should be “ignored” (something you also suggested on your stalker blog, “Hoggwatch”, but deliberately overturn by posting here under your sockpuppet alias).

            The fact, is, you deserve criticism for your lies, dodgy claims, harassment, hypocrisy, plagiarism, writing under numerous aliases to defend yourself and attack others, etc. Not to mention your Nazi sympathies, while representing yourself as an honest-to-goodness man of the cloth – which you clearly aren’t. And if you find that too hard to swallow, look at the reams of criticism you dish out on others. What’s good for the goose and all that.

  7. You try growing a brain yourself !

    Fact :- Vampires DONT exist , never mind turning into spider like you claim Sean

    do you really think people believe that – if you do your a very sad man

    Even David Farrant has admittied that it was HOAX ,

    Why don’t you get real and do the same

    1. That’s right, Zoltan keep playing the game mindless trolls play.

      OPEN YOUR EYES!

      Can’t you see how totally obsessed Anthony Hogg is with Seán Manchester?

      Australian Anthony Hogg has never met or held a conversation with Seán Manchester and is less than half the Englishman’s age. Yet every one of his websites, blogs, forums and groups is filled to overflowing with anti-Seán Manchester rhetoric, much of which propaganda directly or indirectly sources back to David Farrant without whom Hogg wouldn’t have very much to say. The same applies to where Hogg posts his comments on other people’s sites, bogs, forums and groups. Just look at this one!

      The sort of stuff Hogg is obsessing over he has published in comments many times before down the years. He chooses the most extreme, vindictive and malicious material to disseminate. His favourite regurgitation in recent years has been Kevin Chesham’s disgusting blog which was concocted between Chesham and Farrant who are in total collusion. Unlike Hogg, Seán Manchester has met and known both these deviants.

      Kevin Chesham is someone who has abused steroids on and off throughout his life. After his stroke, brought on by steroid abuse, he had a total personality transplant. He became openly neo-Nazi, erratic and increasingly aggressive. This led to him turning against Seán Manchester, attempting to set him up and looking to Farrant for help.

      As to people’s experiences outside the natural laws of science, you are not in a position to sit in judgement. Personal experiences are more than just what people “believe.” It is their perception of something that happened to them. Your condemnation of what you are attributing to Seán Manchester could equally apply to all manner of mystical and religious experience. Do you condemn people who claim to have seen the Virgin Mary? Or ghosts? Or all manner of supernatural phenomena?

      If you do, you are very narrow minded and you will obviously reject Seán Manchester’s account of this or that supernatural experience which most definitely was not a “hoax.”

      1. I am not going to labour the point.Sean Manchester is a complete fraud,has always been a fraud and continues to be a fraud!He is a man ,who goes around in a Bishops costume ,doing little more than stealing others work and information about Highgate .Quite why he does this,ive no idea,but he does.When one confronts him with the uncomfortable facts of what he does[and he has been confronted many times,and continues to be confronted]he takes refuge in rhe fact that he lives in a large house ,is well off and has many followers.This has,of course ,little to do with the earlier stated facts.The only reason he lives in a large house isabsolutely nothing to do with his own efforts.But whether he lives in a large house or not ,is a matter of no importance.Its his pinching of other peoples work,that everyone objects to,and smearing other peoples names ,calling them trolls or any number of insults ,will NOT disguise the fact.

        1. Blackorchid, I would suggest he engages in those practices to “eliminate the competition”, that is, attack anything that could jeopardise sales of his books, or reveal that he’s certainly not the “traditional Christian” he makes himself out to be.

          Essentially, he is trying to preserve a persona, easily unravelled by the litany of sockpuppets he posts under. That he expects people to believe they’re not him, only shows how little he regards reader intelligence.

          His other thieving practices, including stealing group and blog names, etc. is obviously intended as a form of identity theft and hijacking “brands” that divert back to his own work – which has, most notably, been ripped-off from “Dracula.” Among other sources.

          A similar principle applies to his use of the term “troll”, which is also an example of his thieving tendencies. As mentioned earlier, that’s the title he flipped onto me, after I called him that while he was a member of the Highgate Cemetery Vampire Appreciation Society, while masquerading under yet another alias. As anyone can see here, he’s clearly the one actually trolling the group. His grand intent, as Chesham has noted, is to likely shut down commentary on this thread by bombarding it with attacks, insults and copy-pasted material.

          1. How can the British Occult Society (an unidentified friend of Sean Manchester) be “trolling” or attempting to “shut down commentary) when the British Occult Society was on this page BEFORE Anthony Hogg who came along to do precisely the things he now accuses the us of doing? The only reason we are still here is to refute the defamation being obsessively repeated by Hogg from Farrant and Chesham. Had Hogg not trolled this page we would have had no need to have made any further comments to our original correction to Nick Mead’s error in his comment over a month ago. Hogg did not turn up until almost a month after our response to Nick Mead.

            Hogg’s principal blog was disabled by WordPress for repeated offences that included defamation and illegally infringing Seán Manchester’s lawfully owned copyright material. Such violations occured on multiple occasions over a number of years. He has now turned to other services to continue his trolling. On one of his alternate blogs he uploaded most of what was on his suspended WordPress blog, minus the infringed images which he could not access. That did not stop him uploading freshly stolen images. Hogg deviously registered this new blog in the name of UK resident Trystan Lewis Swale, an atheist who likes to attack those who hold religious and particularly supernatural beliefs. Swale has conspired with an infamous figure convicted of satanic crimes to try to discredit Seán Manchester on his hostile podcasts. He continues to this day to post extremely abusive and derogatory remarks about the Bishop on Facebook and elsewhere. Anthony Hogg (who has never been to the UK) arranged to have his blog registered using a British-based Server (UK Web Solutions Direct) in the name of Trystan Swale of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. Swale describes himself as a “paranormal and Fortean investigator,” but in reality is a hardened sceptic who dismisses the paranormal out-of-hand and derides anyone who does not. This replacement blog lasted a matter of days due to Hogg and Swale refusing to remove two stolen images of Seán Manchester (taken long before either of them were born) and being unable to prove, as they had falsely claimed, that the pictures were their own copyright.

            Soon after the replacement blog was disabled, Trystan Swale posted the following comment on Facebook:

            “Some of you may notice that the DAWWIH archive will be disappearing soon, if it hasn’t already gone. A Mr Manchester has slapped a DMCA notice on me. My web host has acted upon this without proof of any copyright ownership from Manchester. This is despite DMCA notices not having any binding legality in the UK and despite dispute over the legal status of the content concerned. My hosts have advised they will act upon Manchester’s claim, albeit in the absence of any evidence supporting him. I was told that regardless of my legal position I will be required to demonstrate that Manchester is not the copyright holder. Consequently I am in the process of switching hosts.”
            .
            The proof of Seán Manchester’s ownership exists in the form of his possession of the 35mm negatives and the fact that when these two pictures were published in the 1970s they were shown to be his exclusive copyright. There is also the small matter of neither Trystan Swale or Anthony Hogg having been born when the pictures in question were taken. Swale speaks as if there is no copyright law in the United Kingdom, There is, of course, but what was glaringly obvious to his Web Host and Server is that he did not own copyright of what was in dispute and had placed alongside the photographs misleading material, ie the words “Black Magic” emblazoned in letters as big as the pictures themselves, plus further images of a man convicted of satanic crimes at Highgate Cemetery in 1974. One of these images was used as evidence to convict him. The inference is clear, and such juxtaposing is a familar strategy of these two antagonistic stalkers of Seán Manchester.

            Trystan Swale and Anthony Hogg somehow feel they have the right to steal photographs exclusively owned by Seán Manchester and illegally publish them to incite hatred using false and derogatory attributions. And if Seán Manchester dares to recover his own property by issuing a legal take-down notice these two malcontents consider it to be “harassment.” Such is the behaviour of mindless trolls who are obsessed with someone they do not know.

            Anthony Hogg has adopted a variety of pseudonyms in the past, including The Inquisitive One, The Overseer, Amateur Vampirolgist and tnuocalucard (“Count Dracula” spelt backwards). These days he is arrogant enough to use his real name, but he goes to considerable lengths to protect his exact whereabouts to prevent prosecution for stalking, harassment and inciting hatred against an elderly Catholic Bishop in the UK. Hogg has gone so far as to publish a UK address in full (offered specifically for people wanting to receive signed and dedicated copies of Seán Manchester’s books). The excuse given is that he found it on the internet. His dissemination of the address was not an act of benevolence, however, because it appeared in the context of a stream of vitriol and malicious allegations against the person with whom the address is associated. One of Hogg’s principal internet friends is the son of David Farrant. He, too, recently published Seán Manchester’s address in full on YouTube. It was removed for seriously violating Seán Manchester’s rights and his privacy.

            A typical example of the exceptionally offensive manner in which the self-styled “Baptist” Hogg hypocritically and abusively refers to Seán Manchester comes from his recently disabled blog:
            .
            “I’m not going to disclose the identity of this potty prelate, wanker, total cock and blatant hypocrite. On an unrelated note, in the lead up to my blog’s closure, I was subjected to repeated DMCA takedown notices issued by Sean Manchester.”

            Unsurprisingly, the blog on which Anthony Hogg posted the foul-mouthed comments was suspended. Within days he had transferred this profanity, word for word, to yet another blog where it still remains.

        2. “Blackorchid” (Angie Watkins) cannot substantiate any of her allegations and would find it impossible to do so because they are malicious lies.

          It is hardly surprising to learn that not so long ago the same Angie Watkins sought out and found David Farrant. Yet she did not seek out Seán Manchester.

          This tells you all you need to know about “Blackorchid.”

      2. I write about the Highgate Vampire case and the people involved. Sean “British Occult Society” Manchester factors into that. Included in my commentary are exposes on his tendency to plagiarise (including the history of his church), attacking critics, pointing out the sockpuppets he uses. It’s all part and parcel.

        Manchester only applies this criticism – i.e. that no one should discuss him in a critical sense – to himself, because he certainly doesn’t label his constant criticism of Farrant as “obsessive” – probably because it largely emanates from him. That is, a double standard.

        The only thing “disgusting” about Chesham’s blog, of course, is what it revealed about Manchester – that he’s a closet Nazi. It’s no wonder he’s keen to suppress and try to discredit it.

        1. “The only thing ‘disgusting’ about Chesham’s blog, of course, is what it revealed about Manchester – that he’s a closet Nazi. It’s no wonder he’s keen to suppress and try to discredit it.” – Anthony Hogg

          These are Seán Manchester’s own words on the matter of Kevin Chesham:

          “I personally believe a turning point for Kevin Chesham was him having a stroke just prior to his time in New Zealand and association with Kerry Bolton. Strokes can cause complete and often devastating changes in personality. This certainly happened where Kevin Chesham is concerned. I hardly recognised him from the person I had known, meeting him only very occasionally, down the years. Had anyone asked me if I thought Kevin Chesham was an ideological Fascist or a National Socialist in the first three decades of my knowing him, I would have said definitely not, but if the same people were to have asked me the same question in the last handful of years, I would have been obliged to answer in the affirmative.

          “I do not judge people by their beliefs, opinions and ideas. It is how they behave and how true they are that matters most. If I appear to be attacking Kevin Chesham it is not because of any beliefs or opinions he holds. It is because of his behaviour, which includes bearing false witness against me and lying in the full knowledge that he is lying. His actions, therefore, are made a thousand times worse because he does not believe in his own rectitude. Had I known what I have come to know about him and his wife in recent years, I would obviously not have provided either of them with character references for employment. Neither are especially intelligent. Kevin Chesham is poorly educated and his employment at local government leisure establishments has not been anything to really become much concerned over, but the thought of Beverley Mason teaching children, much less being a head teacher, is enough to send a shudder down anyone’s spine.

          “For the record, I have at no time owed allegiance to any political party. The only time I stood as a prospective candidate in the political process, which was at local government level, was on an independent platform on the single issue of preserving a woodland cemetery that formed part of the Great Northern London Cemetery. This did not involve party politics; though I was supported at the time by the then Ecology Party which later evolved into the Green Party, and various individuals of all political backgrounds. My other campaigning against nuclear energy, nuclear weapons, the arms trade and such wars as my country deemed fit to engage itself in attracted people from all parts of the political spectrum and none. I have personally known people, even leaders, at both extremes of party politics and quite a few in the middle. All attempts to involve me in party politics in the past have utterly failed. I have absolutely no faith in the political system, a view held more now than ever before by many people, and suspect I would be found unacceptable to most parties making an approach as my allegiance is not to Caesar but to God. Moreover, I would not want to be found acceptable to those who are driven by power, greed and corruption as I believe are the majority of politicians. This has always been my position all along.

          “We are probably all ‘political,’ however, in the sense that we hold opinions that make us so, but this is a far cry from belonging to a political party. I was physically attacked by National Front thugs on Christmas Eve in 1981 whilst holding a ‘Fast for Peace’ vigil at Finchley, London. Kevin Chesham and his wife would have folk believe I canvassed for the National Front. This is a falsehood fed to him by David Farrant who has been making that false and malicious allegation for the last decade. Anyone checking the record will find no evidence of me ever having supported or belonging to the National Front or, for that matter, any other political party.

          “I have always opposed bigotry and ultra-nationalism such as evinced by those who hate other races for no other reason than they belong to that race. Not every single person in such a party is necessarily a racial bigot, but many are, which I personally find unacceptable. I love people of all races and enjoy the diversity of mankind. I also want to preserve and protect my own culture and heritage, not least its Faith.”

        2. “He certainly doesn’t label his constant criticism of Farrant as ‘obsessive’.” – Anthony Hogg

          These are Seán Manchester’s own words on the matter of David Farrant:

          I would like to set the record straight on David Farrant and then leave that topic alone permanently. If others wish to return to it, that is their prerogative. But I shall not.

          The Hampstead & Highgate Express, 6 March 1970, records our first meeting on its front page, under the banner headline “Why Do The Foxes Die?” The newspaper recounts:

          “David Farrant … returned to the spot last weekend and disovered a dead fox. ‘Several other foxes have also been found dead in the cemetery,’ he said at his home in Priestwood Mansions, Archway Road, Highgate. ‘The odd thing is there was no outward sign of how they died. Much remains unexplained, but what I have recently learnt all points to the vampire theory being the most likely answer. Should this be so, I for one am prepared to pursue it, taking whatever means might be necessary so that we can all rest.’ The vampire theory was suggested last week by Mr Seán Manchester, president of the British Occult Society. … Mr Farrant and Mr Manchester met in the cemetery at the weekend.”

          The British Occult Society (1860-1988) was an investigation bureau which existed solely for the purpose of examining occult claims and alleged paranormal activity. It gave birth to the Vampire Research Society, which still survives. My adversary carried out his threat to “pursue [the vampire], taking whatever means might be necessary” and was arrested on the night of 17 August 1970. The Daily Express, 19 August 1970, allowed him to explain:

          “‘My intention was to search out the supernatural being and destroy it by plunging the stake [found in his possession when arrested in Highgate Cemetery by police] in its heart.’” The report continues: “David Farrant pleaded guilty at Clerkenwell, London, to entering St Michael’s churchyard, Highgate Cemetery, for an unlawful purpose. Farrant told police he had just moved to London when he heard people talking about the vampire in Highgate Cemetery. In a statement he said that he heard the vampire rises out of a grave and wanders about the cemetery on the look-out for human beings on whose blood it thrives. Police keeping watch for followers of a black magic cult arrested him. He was remanded in custody for reports. Last night, Mr Seán Manchester, leader of the British Occult Society, said: ‘I am convinced that a vampire exists in Highgate Cemetery. Local residents and passers-by have reported seeing a ghostlike figure of massive proportions near the north gate.’”

          My adversary published on his personal blog, 2 July 2009: “I first met [Seán Manchester] in late 1967 in a pub called the Woodman in Highgate.” However, on the same blog one week later, 9 July 2009, he claimed: “You asked how I first actually spoke to [Seán Manchester] … I believe it was in early 1969.” Such revisionism is reminiscent of this man’s self-proclaimed sightings of the vampire phenomenon at Highgate Cemetery. His earliest published statement was in the form of a letter he wrote to the editor of the Hampstead & Highgate Express which appeared on 6 February 1970. In his published letter, he claims to have witnessed “a grey figure” no less than three times:

          “The first occasion was on Christmas Eve. … The second sighting, a week later, was also brief. Last week, the figure appeared, only a few yards inside the gates. … I have no knowledge in this field and I would be interested to hear if any other readers have seen anything of this nature.”

          If we roll forward some thirty years and read his self-published pamphlets, forum messages and blog comments, we discover he claims to have had only two sightings. Now roll forward almost four decades from that first letter to a local newspaper and listen to an interview he gave on a blogtalk radio in 2009 where he apparently claims to have had only one sighting of the Highgate Vampire. That, at least, is what he told Steve Genier when interviewed in June 2009. He would reiterate his “one sighting” on Arcadia when interviewed by Andrew Gough later in the same year. The reality is rather more prosaic, ie no sightings. He merely boarded what he perceived to be a convenient publicity bandwagon in early 1970.

          Let us return to his blog of 9 July 2009 because in it he continues when he allegedly met me in “early 1969” (having suddenly revised his “late 1967” claim from a week earlier):

          “He [Seán Manchester] said that the ‘ghost’ I had been reported as witnessing at Highgate Cemetery might indeed be one such ‘real’ vampire!”

          Yet my adversary first “reported” his ghostly apparition in February 1970, not late 1969. He did so to the Hampstead & Highgate Express. This was his overture in the press prior to which he had not reported anything to anyone. Our meeting came about solely because of his alleged sightings of a spectral figure in a letter published in the Hampstead & Highgate Express. According to others, that letter was an attempt by him to hoax a ghost story in his local newspaper after having heard tales in the pubs he frequented of a vampire said to haunt Highgate Cemetery. These tales of a vampire had been circulating for many years. His “ghost” was no more than an invention of his own making. In early 1970 he even took to wearing ghost-like make-up while posing for cameras at the graveyard. This was one of the “silly games” he played (referred to by his wife under oath when she appeared as a defence witness for him at the Old Bailey in June 1974).

          Today my adversary proclaims: “I dare to say that ridiculous ‘fanged vampires’ simply do not exist! If there is any ‘feud’ at all, that is the main reason for it: simply because I have said publicly – and repeatedly – that such entities simply do not exist.”

          His words appear on Andrew Gough’s Arcadia. Are they true? Not where I am concerned. The bad blood between us was triggered in late 1970 by him making black magic telephone threats to someone known to him (but not to me) who later committed suicide, and his attempting to convince his victim and her husband that I was the offender. They were persuaded only temporarily. This led to an assault on me at the entrance to the offices of the British Occult Society and a subsequent court case which I won. It was during this case that I first learned about the black magic threats. My adversary sat grinning inanely in the public gallery. For my part, this is where all the antipathy has its origin.

          So what do we do with such a person? My immediate advice, provided the law has not been broken and lives are not put at risk, would be to ignore him and anyone he might use in the ruthless pursuit of his malicious vendetta. Our enemies should not be the people of this world, but rather the spirits of evil that have entered this world. He is a lost soul who has very likely attracted something spiritually malevolent early in his life which has ever since influenced him and darkened his thoughts. It has always been clear to me that he was more interested in the limelight than investigating the paranormal. He also developed a fascination with me which quickly turned into an obsession. By which time he had taken to emulating me in a manner more resembling parody. When I distanced myself a few months later, he turned unpleasant and court cases ensued. This was followed by his fraudulent adoption of my title and the name of the organisation I presided over, ie the British Occult Society. The media were always careful to qualify his bogus claim with the prefix “self-styled.” He eventually altered the name of his non-existent group to “British Psychic and Occult Society” to get the media off his back.

          Things began to spiral downwards at an alarming rate as he turned to what ostensibly appeared to be diabolism, but in truth was just further attention-seeking for the sake of the media. He nonetheless engaged in theatrical stunts of an occult nature in churchyards, cemeteries, woods and derelict houses which took on an increasingly satanic appearance. This led to him being charged, tried and convicted for offences which include malicious vandalism to tombs, interfering with and offering indignity to remains of the dead through the use of black magic and attempting to pervert the course of justice by threatening police witnesses with voodoo death dolls impaled with pins. By which time I had decided to get to know him properly for the purpose of discovering exactly what was going on and to try and resolve whatever lay behind the enmity he evinced toward me. This occurred some time after he had invited what he describes as a “satanic force” to enter him in a necromantic ritual he claims to have staged at Highgate Cemetery with a naked accomplice.

          The ritual is described at length by him in an article he wrote while serving a four years and eight months prison sentence. It was published in the fourth issue of New Witchcraft magazine. However, the person I discovered was a phoney who believed only in his own self-aggrandisement and the amount of newsprint his manufactured stunts might achieve. He certainly did not believe in his own rectitude; so rather than resolve anything my getting to know him only served to make matters worse because he now understood I was aware he was not sincere in anything other than self-publicity. Throughout that period he was exceptionally devious and deceitful.

          I do not rule out the very real possibility that by engaging in theatrical Satanism for the benefit of the newspapers he might very well have become possessed by something demonic in the process. I naturally feel sad for him, but he is ultimately the sum of his own choices. None of us are perfect or even remotely so, but there are those who make no attempt to be anything other than wicked. I believe my adversary to be such a person. Whatever harm he has attempted to inflict on me is really of little consequence. It is the abuse of innocent people which has always concerned me; people who have largely never heard of him but are nevertheless contacted or otherwise unjustifiably drawn into his nefarious machinations by having their identities falsely associated with his falsehood.

          He has published their names in malicious pamphlets and on the internet, often without their knowledge. Occasionally he will publish people’s addresses. My London secretary, Diana, suffered this sort of abuse from him in the final year of her life as she died in pain of cancer. Her name and address had been published in one of his self-published pamphlets which he then sent to her. My wife and in-laws have received similar malicious mail from this man, as have a wide number of friends, colleagues and associates. Some have complained to the police who tend to recommend them hiring a lawyer and taking civil action. He will go to the most extraordinary lengths to gather information on anyone he feels might have a connection with me, including people from a number of decades back. It is difficult to discern his life comprising of anything other than the pursuit of this meaningless vendetta against me and mine for the last forty years. He has certainly not been in employment of any kind during that period. Over the the decades I have extended invitations for him to meet me privately at my Retreat. They have been ignored. I now doubt this matter will ever be resolved unless he owns to the darkness dominating him and his activities and seeks help to address what he has become.

          Meanwhile, he preoccupies himself from one day to the next with the dissemination of items intended to give personal insult to me while continuing to produce a stream of libellous abuse in malicious pamphlets from the Muswell Hill quarters found for him when he was released on parole more than three and a half decades ago. He is exceptionally unhealthy, chain smokes, consumes much alcohol and is unable to walk properly due to various maladies and afflictions often caused by injuries sustained whilst inebriated. I am sometimes asked why I do not sue him for defamation of character. The problem is it would solve nothing. He would not pay the court costs and damages if he lost, as he receives means-tested welfare. Moreover, he still owes tens of thousands of pounds from a libel case he lost in the 1970s and would welcome any publicity a new trial might bring. I prefer to deny him the oxygen of publicity where I am concerned and recommend others to do the same.

          1. The fact you’re still copy-pasting this stuff – and deferring to words you wrote elsewhere under your real name – while continuing this “British Occult Society” charade, Sean, only highlights your lack of credibility.

            Quoting yourself in third person, does not a fact make.

          2. No rebuttal statement would be necessary if Anthony Hogg was not trolling with his copy and pasted vitriol about Seán Manchester.

            Obviously the source is Seán Manchester if we are quoting him directly or using in rebuttal his material for information. That’s a given.

          3. Rebuttals are fine, Sean. But you’re not really rebutting; you’re bombarding this thread with nonsense under one of your numerous sockpuppet identities.

            And by quoting Sean Manchester, you mean yourself. Enough games, already, Sean. It’s no wonder you’re not taken seriously. Twisting everything around like a schoolkid – “copy and pasted” – even though it’s clearly behaviour you’ve been engaging here, does not make you more believable. One day, you’ll realise that. But perhaps you don’t want to believe – you just want to assert some kind of dominance over the thread; to hijack it for your usual nefarious ends.

            But it never works, Sean. No matter how many years you keep it going for.

      1. You say, Zoltan, you have better things to do. Clearly not. Otherwise you wouldn’t have followed “Blackorchid” Angie Watkins to this page and started commenting.

        If the link is genuine and everyone can see Farrant admitting to his hoax, how could anyone say he wasn’t admitting to a hoax? The FACT is that you have not provided any link. You have only alluded to one which is nowhere near the same thing. Statements of a controversial nature require to be backed with evidence.

        We know Farrant’s “ghost” was a hoax and have said so for a great many years. Farrant’s “ghost,” however, is a completely separate issue to the case of the Highgate Vampire which did not involve Farrant at any level of seriousness.

        For example, as recently as a handful of days ago, “Della” (who claims to be Farrant’s third wife) published this comment:

        “Highgate has had a few bad run ins with morbid thrill-seekers in the past, and I wouldn’t want to be accused of encouraging that sort of thing. Down with that sort of thing! Well, not really, unless you make a nuisance of yourself or are carrying a homemade stake in your trousers.” – “Della Farrant” (Happy Hallowe’en, 31 October 2013)

        Now fast forward the timeline 21 minutes into the 34 minutes’ video to view original footage of David Farrant pulling a homemade stake out of his trousers on a BBC television reconstruction of the night of his arrest at Highgate Cemetery:

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVQyNE22IK8

        The bottom line is that these people are hypocritical liars and cannot be trusted.

  8. How can the British Occult Society (this commentator being an unidentified friend of Sean Manchester) be “trolling” or attempting to “shut down commentary”) when the British Occult Society was on this page long BEFORE Anthony Hogg who arrived to do precisely the things he now accuses the British Occult Society of doing? The only reason we are still here is to refute the familiar defamation being obsessively repeated over and over again by Hogg from the usual source, ie Farrant and Chesham, two of the most unpleasant characters anyone is ever likely to encounter.

    Had Hogg not trolled this page the British Occult Society would have had no need to have made any further comments to its original correction to Nick Mead’s error in his comment over a month ago. Hogg did not turn up until almost a month after our response to Nick Mead.

    1. By “unidentified friend”, you’re referring to yourself again, Sean. Your sockpuppet routine is getting old.

      As to being on here long before me, note your return shortly *after* I posted. You don’t own the thread. I’ve already explained how you’re trying to have it shut down, in concordance with your usual bombardment efforts, under your bewildering array of sockpuppet aliases.

      I did not troll the page, as has already been explained. Nice try, though. I, too, addressed Nick’s comment, Sean.

  9. What is getting truly “old” is Anthony Hogg insisting here and everywhere else in having the last word. He does it everywhere he trolls and finds mention of Seán Manchester.

    He came onto this page a month after I had replied to somebody else about something that does not concern him in the slightest, and since being here he has has executed his familiar trolling routine and doubtless will continue to do so till the cows come home.
