Pinboard: Alma Street Festival 2013 – and books, music and gin

It's the biggest weekend of the year, with the return of Alma Street. Plus the latest events at Owl, Colonel Fawcett, Poppies and another festival for Camden

It’s on the front cover of our June print edition (restocked this week at The Grafton, Harry’s Fine Foods, Phoenicia and Owl Bookshop). And yes, this weekend sees the return of the seventh Alma Street Fair.

As usual this year there are some very special music acts (you can probably guess some of them), as well as curator Melissa Hardwick’s Art Street, a workshop run by the Zabludowicz Gallery, T-shirts from Fifth Column, beer from the neighbouring Camden Town Brewery and cocktails from the infamous Flaxon Ptootch.

Food? Well, it’s streetfood-tastic, with nose-bothering options like Top Dog, Arancini Brothers, Lahore, Ruby Violet, Delicious, Bean About Town, Mission Mariscos and more.

And – don’t laugh – we are making our debut as stallholders. We’ll be giving out free back issues of our print editions, as well as selling original artwork like our Cultural Maps and the Spirit of Alma Street print on the current June front cover. We’re also launching our new T shirt and tote bag range designed by our in-house artist Russell Loughlan (also available in our online shop). And why not taste some exclusive edibles from our own Patisserie Diarist Clare Zerny?
