NEXT: Free coffee & croissants at K-Town’s newest coffeeshop
6. Join the Housepresso Breakfast Club
Local coffee-mongering estate agents, (and proud sponsors of your weekly Kentishtowner pinboard pages, of course), Housepresso, have finally cut the red ribbon on their brand new branch.
You can now find them serving up their punchy, robusta-heavy espressos and lattes at 16 Fortess Road (The Kentish Town tube end), while Gavin and Amon go about their personable property doings at one of the vintage tables at the back.
As an introduction, they are running their “Breakfast Club” over the coming mornings. That means a free cup of coffee and your pick of a croissant or pastry for free too.
And while enjoying the laid-back interior, make sure to admire the original 1930s sign for E J Evans, tobacconist and newsagent, lovingly restored above the main door.
Free coffee and croissant every day, 8.00–9.30am. Hurry though, such generosity surely can’t last forever…

It’s a shame that the Housepresso signs clash so horribly. The new sign makes it look like a branch of Jessops.
Ouch! Harsh but fair, I cannot un-see Jessops now.
Nah it’s cool, reminds me of Paul Smith
I agree with Helena, House Presso is a really great new concept also the coffee is really good
IMO their coffee is watery and bitter – a product of over extraction…and they could do with rethinking their choice of blend.
