This week's crop of things to do and places to go

5. Coming up at Dingwalls

Goldierocks Dingwalls

As we touched upon yesterday, former crate-building factory Dingwalls is celebrating 40 years as a music venue right now. After starting off as one of the most important music spots in the 70s and 80s, and hosting legendary daytime events in the 90s, it’s nice to see the old place putting on healthy nights again.

With live music all week, Fridays see student-friendly club events for a fiver (advance). Tomorrow night, TV presenter and Ibiza Rocks resident DJ Gabby Sanderson hosts the weekly Nothing But The Beats session, set across the 3-room Lock 17 venue.

Then on Fri 14th fast-rising female spinner Goldierocks will be responsible for causing the roadblock, while the 21st sees vocalist for the all-conquering Rudimental, Thomas Jules, celebrating his birthday with a crate of party classics. Chalk Farm Road, 10pm- 2.30am
