4. Listen to a K-Town soundscape

Chair - A Life Backwards.
Chair – A Life Backwards.

The current exhibition in Bartholomew Road’s Free Space Gallery is Chair, which explores the journey taken by a piece of wood from being cut in the forest to becoming something we sit on.

This Saturday the collaboration between sculptor and prop maker Dot Young, sound designer and composer Gregg Fisher and photographer Pavel Legonkov features a special soundscape: an aurally guided walk around the local area.

“If you think you know your city, think again,” say’s Free Space’s Mel. “Deconstruct the rumble of the 134 bus and the rhythmic pumping of the kebab shop extractor fan and sink into an all-enveloping audio world.”

More events are planned and all are free. Here’s the info.
