My Big Fat Kentishtowner Wedding? Nearly!

Arancini Wedding

Food

For us, it was ultimately all about the food. We searched online for caterers in NW5 and found that Marcia Barrington runs a great kitchen out of Bartholomew Road cooking some inspired and tasty food and is well set up for any smart do.

Monica Prebble is another local caterer we spoke to and provided a great quote for our afternoon tea brief (lots of food, pretty informal, no cupcakes).

However, our food was decided upon through quite a serendipitous occasion. We enquired via the waitress at Arancini Brothers, the award-winning lower Kentish Town Road café, if they did weddings, and after a bit of persuasion (they’d never done one before), we managed to get them to bring their balls to our table. Dave and his team were superb on the day, the food was outstanding, and most importantly they were a pleasure to work with in the months preceding.

  1. Well done Tim! I’m having a kentishtowner wedding in September at the beautiful Colonel Fawcett. Dress from Elizabeth Avey at Tufnell Park, flowers by grooms florist mum. The only aspect of the wedding I can’t cater for in Kentish is parking for the guests!
