6. Stormy Sundays Blues Jam hits the Abbey Tavern

A rotating cast of vocalists, guitarists and drummers, and Sam doing his harmonica and trombone thing.

Like a spot of the Sunday night blues? Yup, us too. And with that in mind the Abbey Tavern opens its arms wide to the hitherto unheralded K-Town community of blues musicians to become a meeting point for like-minded people to “jam together”.

The night is the brainchild of Kentishtowner Sam Linthorne, the trombone and harmonica player who recently spent two years honing his musical talents in Canada.

“I love the blues and The Abbey is the ideal setting for this kind of night to really take off, with its love of live music and honky-tonk piano by the stage”.

We might just nip down this weekend. Every Sunday from 6pm. 124 Kentish Town Road
