Snow Day? Not Quite. But could Hampstead Heath today be any more arctic?

Our advice? Slope off early, head up to the Heath and appreciate the arctic chill and icy skies

Why does it always snow on Mondays? Certainly something we pondered this morning as we scrambled up Parliament Hill to take these wintry shots.

And whilst the snowfall hasn’t, alas, reached the picture postcard sylvan depths of recent years, most memorably 2009’s famous ‘Snow Day’, it’s still pretty atmospheric up there, we think you’ll agree.

Our advice? Slope off early, head up to the Heath and appreciate the arctic chill and icy skies. A moment’s peace and quiet, at least, if not quite a familiar landscape transformed.
