What did you do after that rainy New Year’s Eve (and how was that, by the way?) We, inevitably, were up at the crack of dawn to record the first day of 2013 – in what turned out to be all its majestic glory.

From a perfectly orange sunrise over the industrial west to an empty high street speckled by the odd, stumbling partygoer, we walked off our hangovers up to a Heath packed with families, kite-fliers, and more than the odd excitable hound.

Were you there too? Share your New Year’s tales below. Especially if, on NYE, you swung by one of our local tips, or anywhere else in the manor. And don’t forget, if you have a resolution for 2013, email us, tweet it or add it as a comment and we’ll include the best in our Pinboard Special tomorrow.
