In Pictures: Our 2nd Birthday at Camden Brewery Bar – plus Sign Up for the Next Bash

It was probably the worst kept secret in town. And yet we were thrilled that so many of our writers, readers, friends and advertisers found time to pop by last night to wish us a happy 2nd birthday. We are officially a toddler. Or something.

To soak up the ever-flowing pints of Hell’s lager and Pale Ale, South London streetfood van the Gravy Sirens (below right) were on hand with some damn fine scampi and chips, a bit like a posher Fishdogs (oh, and they did a mean beef stew and dumplings too for the carnivores).

It was lovely not only to meet so many of you lot for the first time, but also to bring together our fantastic contributors under one arch and cement friendships among such a wide variety of NW5 neighbours.

We overheard a veritable cascade of new ideas too, with lots of people wanting to be involved with the Kentishtowner, so our third year is already gearing up to be as strong as, erm, the local ale. And plenty of that was indeed drunk: look at the state of some of the key Kentishtowner boys, below middle left: (left to right) ad manager James, editor Stephen, writer Tim and co-editor Tom, staring inexplicably into the middle distance. Sore heads all round today.

Anyway, we had such a ball that we plan to throw another bash sooner rather than later. So if you’d like to be the first to know about the next and any future Kentishtowner get-togethers, drop us your email details in the box:

Lastly, a million thanks to Jasper and everyone at Camden Brewery Bar for sponsoring the bash last night.
