So, it was omniscient bar manager Dave at Shebeen who first tipped us off about Rihanna’s secret-ish gig at the Forum last night. And my word, wasn’t it just all over Twitter! Thanks for the tickets, Ri-Ri (they must, inevitably, have got lost in the post).
But there’s something stimulating you lot even more than the global superstar gracing NW5 again (a few months ago, celeb fans, she did a shoot outside prestigious Spring Studios).
Yes, we’re happy to report that rumours are currently circulating that Rihanna is now looking for a crash pad in NW5.
So lady, if you do choose to settle in the manor, here’s where we think you should hang out:
5. Annie’s Bar
It’s oft-reported that Rihanna likes to party, and where better to let rip than the elegant gilt-edged confines of Annie’s Bar? Her music is sure to get a high rotation, especially at weekends, and we’re pretty confident lovely co-manager Donna would take care of her too. Oh, and those toilets! How could she resist spending a penny or two – or more? 180 Kentish Town Road
4. Blustons
Rihanna’s rightly been praised as style icon, but how about just the slightest change of sartorial direction? Long-established Kentish Town dress shop Blustons was even featured in Vogue last year, so we recommend she pays a visit to the respected women’s outfitter tout suite. At the very least, she could pick up a few things for mom back home. 213 Kentish Town Road.
3. The Pineapple
We’re a little concerned the singer may never have enjoyed a truly British pint, and if she’s to settle in a part of London so renowned for the quality of its real ale, where better to sample its delights than one of NW5’s most-loved boozers? Plus, if she likes a nibble of the, erm, hard stuff, we recommend their ever popular cheese night. 51 Leverton Street.
2. Chicken Shop
We know that Rihanna loves her junk food, so why not bin the MaccyD’s and swing by Chicken Shop? It’s so dark down there she could drag Jay-Z there for a crepuscular supper – and still no-one would recognize them. And if she’s short of a few quid after buying that pile in Dartmouth Park, she’ll be pleased to hear it’s easy on the pocket too. 79 Highgate Road.
1. Shebeen
Manager Dave is becoming something of a Kentish Town oracle and it’s him we need to credit for the tip-off about Rihanna’s potential move to K-Town. And the trained mixologist knows more than anyone that the superstar is partial to a cocktail or two – a Jameson and ginger, in fact. So where better to catch up with a bunch of girlfriends than the candle-lit former police cells of this classy speakeasy? 300 Kentish Town Road.

Where is the obvious number 1 Rio’s in this?
We think even party girl Rihanna would be a little wary in Rio’s, don’t you?
