The Wednesday Picture: Smoothies on Kentish Town Road

Mrs Kentishtowner’s verdict? ‘Quite pleasant, in a let’s-all-meet-up-in-the-year-2000 kinda way. But on the downside, the young man had to consult his instruction booklet on how to make them, and we weren’t sure about all that ice. Still, zingy and carroty – and a couple of those all important five-a-day.’

Now Taste, 257 Kentish Town Road.

  1. They do seem out of their depth. Very friendly, but not enough to make up for watery, bland drinks. Also, extremely slow service. If they’re going to use store bought syrup to give it flavour, the least they could do is decant it into a nice bottle. Very low on fruit and yogurt and high on syrup and water. It was a while back we tried it, and perhaps they’ve smartened up their act. Unfortunately, we probably won’t try it again.
