Spring Projects & Studios

We heart the long-established Spring Studios and this custom-built 3000ft commercial gallery, which provides a platform for contemporary art, design and fashion, opened in 2008.

Typifying the ongoing cultural regeneration of West Kentish Town, it’s a fabulous white space and, if you’re really polite, they may let you have a peak around one of the very famous Studios themselves – after all, everyone has been photographed here, from Madonna to Gaga.

On the first floor yawns a members’ bar and restaurant: admire the mural and enormous leaded windows over a glasss of red, or reviving expresso martini, schlurpable on one of its uber-stylish mismatched chairs. Don’t spill it now.

Current exhibition at Spring Projects: 'The Carate Series' by Studio Makkink & Bey, which redfines functional, everyday objects by infusing them with new narratives. Is it a bathtub? A bathroom? A vanity unit? A bedroom? Christ, get me that cocktail.
