This annual community festie returns for the sixth time this year, with its usual intention of basking in the ‘creativity and peace’ emanating around NW5.

On Saturday (9th), events will stretch along the high street – from summer roll-making at Carrots + Daikon to ceramics workshops at Holl Studios. There’ll also be walking tours about the River Fleet – which flows under Kentish Town – Charleston dancing in KT Community Centre during the day, DJs play the Rose & Crown at night and walking tours. Meanwhile on Sunday (10th), there’s a free BBQ at midday and festivities in the afternoon. All are welcome to come as they are. Runs 9th-10th June, various locations. More here.

Next weekend: Cally Festival

There’ll be no cars pelting down Caledonian Road as the iconic north London street is being closed off for a big old street party next Sunday. The annual community knees-up sees residents and businesses from the local area gather together as over 7000 people pile onto the street for live music, performance, art, activities, creative workshops and more.

As befits the area, there’ll also be a heaving street food market, so go celebrate one of the capital’s most multicultural thoroughfares. Want to explore more? See our guide to Cally Road here. The festival runs Sun 17th June, 12pm-9pm, more here.
