David Kosky, 28, is co-founder of Worklife, a brand new workspace in the heart of Camden Town aimed at becoming a home for the area’s creative businesses and freelancers. Having successfully launched earlier this month with his partner Elliot Gold, they’ve already attracted members such as MTV and Dr Martens as well acting as a hub for smaller companies and hotdesking individuals.

What is your greatest life achievement?
At the moment it’s opening Worklife. We set it up to create a place and environment for people to start enjoying the Monday – Friday as much as they do the weekend. It’s a small step, but a great feeling to hear that we are making people happier already.

When were you happiest?
The last couple of weeks. It’s been amazing to see how pleased our founder members are with how the space has turned out.

Where would you like to live?
I’m a north London boy through-and-through, so will always be in or around Camden, although I wouldn’t mind a little house on a beach someday, if all goes well.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
It will all go by in a flash, so you just have to make the most of it.

What simple thing would improve your quality of life?
I found it: Gousto [a cookery ingredients delivery service]. It has changed my – and my girlfriend’s – life! If the guys from Gousto read this; we are your biggest fans, so please can we have some free boxes?

What is your favourite dish and why?
Duck spring rolls. I would go swimming in plum sauce if I could.

What is your favourite sound or smell?
Bizarrely, I love the smell of petrol.

Inside the Worklife co-working space in Camden Town

What is your earliest memory?
Having kippers with my dad for breakfast at three years old. I obviously thoroughly enjoyed the kippers as it is a memory that has stuck with me.

Where do you hang out?
Currently I am spending most of my time at Worklife. We’ve got a great members area at the front with amazing coffee and free beers from Camden Town Brewery so I have no need to leave.

Who or what do you hate and why?
The only things I really hate are bananas and spiders. I don’t trust either of them.

What’s been your best experience?
Signing up MTV as our first members. It’s a great feeling to build a community and we were absolutely delighted they are part of it.

Tell us a secret.
My dark secret is that I used to work in finance.

What has your career taught you?
To be hungry and to think don’t be afraid to ask for anything.

What did you do today?
I went to pick up a consignment of popcorn which had kindly been given to us by the guys from Propercorn, made our daily mix of cucumber and lemon water for members and spent the day in hot desking area taking people on tours.

Describe yourself as an animal.
I’d like to think something cuddly and incredibly cute, but I have been compared to a hippo before, so who knows.
