MUST DO: Free ice cream, bottomless booze, mad doughnuts

Grab some of these decadent freebies and special deals this weekend

1. Free Ice Cream

Portico ice cream
Did somebody say “free ice cream”? Yes, Portico Camden Estate Agents have branded up their very own van, and are heading out on the local streets to spread some happiness by dishing out the frozen freebies tomorrow (Sat July 2nd). Yay.

As well as free cups of the creamy stuff, they’ll also be offering free instant property valuations in just 60 seconds, plus expert advice on what we should probably call the post-Brexit market.

But how to find them? Well, the van will start out in Regent’s Park Road in Primrose Hill at midday, before it slowly trundles its way across Camden and into Kentish Town throughout the afternoon.

Keep an eye on their Twitter @PorticoProp to find out their current location, and if you send them a nice tweet; they may even drive to you.

2. Bottomless Booze

Beeflo
Despite the beer-focused name over the door, Kentish Town Road steakhouse Beef & Brew offer more than just flights of tasty craft ale to accompany the food.

Head down for their brand new weekend lunch & brunch deal (Sat and Sun from 10am – 5pm) anytime from now until the end of August to enjoy bottomless prosecco or bloody mary for just £15. And while mum and dad relax with a glass or two, kids eat free as well. Cheers! Just tell ’em Kentishtowner sent you.

Beef & Brew, 323 Kentish Town Rd, weekends until 31st Aug, from 10am-5pm

3. Mad Doughnuts

The Crone Dum Dum
Foodie old Camden Market is now home to Dum Dum Doughnuts, touted as the world’s first artisan baked interpretation of the classic sugary treat. And this week they’ve come up with another beguiling innovation: The Crone.

Repurposing a word more commonly associated with ugly pantomime witches might sound like a bold branding move, but of course it is a post-cronut portmanteau, representing a marriage of ice-cream on a cone of baked croissant doughnut dough, complete with a Nutella filling, homemade sauces and all sorts of topping options too.

They look suitably obscene and essential for summer indulgence, and can be found for the next three months at The Future of Retail Store, a concept pop-up for food, tech and fashion.

North Yard, Camden Stables Market, daily until 6pm
