London’s street style tribes

What does clothing say about your neighbourhood?

Cool face furniture gurus SmartBuyGlasses have been out on the streets of the capital interviewing a clutch of fashion bloggers. The idea is to identify the distinct style that defines four key parts of town, and hear why each of the girls simply luurrve their chosen area’s look.

Anneli , Zara, Zoe and Josie, have made videos showing them swish around in an effortlessly stylish manner via the best boutiques and stalls of their fave neighbourhoods.

So there’s a visit to King’s Road to highlight the whole luxurious Chelsea thing, Marylebone High Street gets a mention for a timeless look at chic London window-shopping, down the road to Oxford Street where, despite the hordes, there are plenty of genuinely fashion-forward outlets, and finally over east to Brick Lane, to focus on the vintage clobber and highly individual outfits on display.

But hold on, we think we can spot a cheeky glimpse of our local Camden Market in those stills too?!

However you choose to look at London though, the bloggers are right: it still beats Paris, New York and Milan for the shear diversity of styles that can be found on the streets from one part to another.

And the point of all this, obviously, is that you’ll need some decent designer sunglasses to match whichever style tribe you’re moving and shaking with this week.

Here’s one of the videos. Head to its YouTube page to see lots more.
