I Saw The Sign: #1, Keep On Pouting

We love encountering random bits of street art on our travels across the capital. And our neighbourhood – as locals know – is as fecund as any.

From Banksys to, er, fake Banksys and our very own Mr P, creator of the famous tag above the tube, there’s plenty to keep a pedestrian amused. Chucklesome signs are especially good: a witty blackboard, some toilet door poetry, a bollard with an amusing face on it, or even a surreal municipal instruction.

It’s high time we invented a regular slot for these discoveries, and so – drum roll! – here it is, named after the, um, classic ditty by 90s Swedish sensations Ace of Base.

Our first candidate? A reworking of that stern property owner’s warning, Keep Out. As you can see above, it’s been rebooted here as a sassy life tip, no doubt by a cheeky reveller after a few pints of cider from the well-known pub next door.
