It’s been great to see momentum building so rapidly for Kentish Cluster, the new, regular local gathering of like-minds that’s already off to a flying start.
Firstly, we had a full house for last month’s launch event. All shoehorned into the upstairs room of The Grafton, it made for a buzzy, if a touch hot, atmosphere.
And from our highly unscientific straw poll (based on who we randomly found ourselves talking to), Kentish Town is chocablock with a phenomenal range of dynamic businesses, as we suspected.
Meeting up regularly for a social get-together seems to have struck a chord with pretty much everyone, too. So we’re really looking forward to returning to do it all again on Thursday night (29th May), this time at slightly more spacious Highgate Road watering hole, The Vine.
Negotiations are progressing well for a drinks sponsorship (fingers crossed, booze friends), meanwhile, there’s been plenty of interest in what’s happening in the world of tech – any beyond – now we’ve gone and identified all this entrepreneurialism as a ‘cluster’.
KC founders including James Eder from The Bean Group and Titus Sharpe from MVF Global featured in last night’s double page feature in the Evening Standard.
And you can hear many of us talking slightly over-excitedly to Julian Blake from Tech City Insider, who thrust a microphone in our direction at The Grafton for this podcast report.
You don’t need to work in tech to come along to a KC event and there’s no agenda other than to meet with an interesting bunch who love working in NW5.
See you at the bar.
