Spring Fair at Queen’s Crescent this Saturday

Family fun and loads of bargains as the area's famous street market puts on a show

The market, back to its bustling best

The newly invigorated Queen’s Crescent Market is back with a seasonal bash this Saturday (26th April). We think every local should show their support for the growing, increasingly eclectic range of traders to be found there (and every Thursday and Saturday too).

This weekend’s Spring Fair event promises a green theme, with stalls from the local schools, live performances, a cake competition and a under-12s fancy dress extravagansa. There’ll also be the regular fishmonger, baker, longstanding fruit ‘n’ veg stalls, clothes, and the thriving antiques market.

And if you haven’t been along since the amazing 1920s Home & Colonial Stores shop signage was uncovered, (pictured below) then it’s a good chance to check out that little slice of K-Town history too.

Queen’s Crescent is one of London’s oldest street markets and huge efforts are underway to bring it back to former glories. Time to get involved, have some fun – and grab a bargain too.
