Kentishtowner @ Pane Vino

We know many of you have history with this longstanding Kentish Town Road restaurant - so we invite you to come down and take a fresh look

Come have a spritz with us – and try the new menu at Pane Vino

Our last event – Under the Overground – was a huge success in the summer. And so we’ve decided to throw our next one at Sardinian institution Pane Vino on Thursday November 21, as part of our third birthday celebrations this month. We’re simply calling it Kentishtowner @ Pane Vino.

Meltingly soft: the winning meats
Meltingly soft: the winning meats
Why? We’d like readers who’ve never dared come in – or who have had a bad experience for whatever reason in the past – to come and taste Stefania’s delicious stuzzichini (sharing plates). Yup, we’re that passionate about it – as you may remember from our feature last week.

Things we raved about? Buttery bresola, and a darker, thicker goat prosciutto with a peppery rind; room-temperature creamy buffalo mozzarella resting on ripe tomatoes, drizzled with intense, fruity olive oil; sausage and spinach with fluffy white beans, bobbing in a garlicky tomato sauce.

As it’s our “takeover”, we’ll be lighting and dressing the interior ourselves as well as coming up with a set Kentishtowner menu (£12 for three stuzzichini); and chalking up some cocktails and food specials on the blackboard outside.
