Good times: a sunny Heath morning
Good times: a sunny Heath morning
When were you happiest?
Sitting on the Heath in the sunshine reading a book.

Where would you like to live?
One of those enormous houses on Tufnell Park Road. I’d love to redesign all the rooms.

What is your favourite sound or smell?
The sound of kids flipping out with joy because they are getting an ice cream from Ruby Violet next door – that’s a nice sound.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Nothing is permanent.

Future & Found.
Future & Found.
What is your earliest memory?
Getting drenched with my mum by the enormous puddle outside Acland Burgley. At the time I thought it was hilarious (I was 6). Now I’m very cautious of that puddle, which is still going strong.

What makes you unhappy?
Grey skies and chilly weather, I would happily never see winter again. Also I’m not keen on rudeness, I don’t see a reason for it. Oh – and I hate spitting.

What simple thing would improve your quality of life?
I would love to have a dog, but I don’t think that would be a simple thing. So maybe I’d settle for somewhere nearby and interesting to have lunch.

What is your most unappealing habit?
Probably saying ‘like’ a-lot – the legacy of my generation.

Irresistible (especially the campari and blood orange!): Ruby Violet. Photo: Stephen Emms

What is your guilty pleasure?
It’s got to be ice cream, I’m keen on salted caramel from Ruby Violet. It’s just too close to us at Future & Found!

Where do you hang out?
I like going to Pizza East, and the Palmerston is lovely with its new look. Am looking forward to sitting in the garden. I have yet to check out the Pineapple – I know! – but I’ve heard good things.

What’s your best and experience in NW5?
Worst was when a man spat on my head on the 134 because I wouldn’t give him a kiss. Best? Chatting with lovely enthusiastic customers. Ahhhhh.

What is your favourite dish and why?
Rotisserie chicken with smokey sauce, coleslaw and chips followed by apple pie with vanilla ice cream from Chicken Shop. Yes, I have a sweet tooth.

  1. Yes! “the enormous puddle outside Acland Burgley”, the notorious puddle! Give it a wide berth or you’ll be soaked from head to toe, seen many fall victim to it.
