A week can be a long time in Kentish Town. Just seven days ago we reported on the closure of Pizza Express in the iconic old former poly on the corner of Prince Of Wales Road. Then on Wednesday we tried to galvanise our thousands of readers into acting together if we are all serious about making a cinema or arts hub for K-Town a reality.

And yet even we were surprised with the response we had, not to mention the amount our feature was shared and retweeted, from London to LA (really!)

The outcome? Now K-Town is in the enviable position of having major interest from two very reputable boutique chains (one smaller, one bigger) both keen on bringing a picturehouse to NW5 and discussing “potential sites/venues” with us.

Naturally there is substantial interest in the former poly assembly hall (or alternate sites, of course). Yet we are, at this stage, unable to say any more than this. But rest assured we’re “helping them with their enquiries.” And you can bet we’ll tell you more when/as we hear it.
